“Staff helpful however only let down is size of bedrooms.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

We stayed here for a week on an inclusive holiday with first choice. Travel rep Jamie was really helpful and professional.
Reception staff and booking in was quick and easy. I was not told about tax prior to holiday and paid this when checked in. Bedrooms are dated and very small. There is 2 beds and staff put a camp bed up and down daily. Due to being small not enough storage space. Bar staff and waiters are polite most of the time. Good selection of food however can get repeative and not much selection for vegetarians. Evening entertainment was fun and young children enjoy the disco. Pool is a good size and there is a lifeguard but sadly he is on his phone or chatting to bar staff most of the time. Limited sun loungers and umbrellas so you need to be down early. Decent alcohol measures but drinks are only from 11 to midnight. Overall it was in a lovely part of salou and staff tried to make it a good holiday. It is a 3 star hotel and it was good value for money.

Dear Fiona,

We appreciate the time you took to write a review. Our best satisfaction is knowing that you have enjoyed your stay with us. Your comments help us to improve. Being myself a vegetarian and eating everyday at the hotel I consider that there is more variety for vegetarians at our hotel than in other buffets or restaurants you may find. You are able to take salads, vegetable mix, pasta, pizza or mashed vegetables. Next time don't hesitate to talk to our chef and he will give you recommendations and we can prepare dishes if you have a special diet.

See you again next season!

Had a very relaxing stay here with my son for a week, from checking in to checking out everything was done with a smile. Rooms I would say are just below the same as our premier inns, very clean and kept up daily by the maid, Food was good with a wide selection of hot/cold, evening entertainment was extremely family friendly. I used the spa for a pedicure and have to stay it was very good. Although there was clearly some issues with sunbeds I didn't seem to have an issue being able to find one at lunch times.

Would like to say thank you Euro Salou for making our stay a pleasurable one :) see you next year.

Just returned from our first family holiday with our one year old daughter. The resort of Salou is really fab - 20 mins transfer to/from the airport - about an hour and half coach trip to Barcelona and the hotel is in a really lovely area. A quiet spanish neighbourhood with very high end shops and about a ten min walk to the beach with long long clean, wide proms you can walk/run on in both directions to Cambrils and the main town of Salou. Lots of outdoor play areas for kids. Would definitely return to the area - now for the hotel!! Lovely warm welcome at reception and staff were always very helpful despite being very busy indeed. We were allocated our first room which didn't have a bath and they very promptly moved us without any quibble at all. However, rooms are very very small and with the cot put in there, space was something we could only dream of!! The rooms are beyond basic - nothing on the walls, towels and sheets that really needed to be replaced several years ago, and only one plug socket in the room with another in the bathroom. No fridge (and none available at the time for rental), no iron, no kettle and you had to pay for the safe - never understand this!! It was just a lockable one that was in the room anyway so why pay extra???
Staff in restaurant friendly and efficient and the buffet selection at all meal times was huge - quality was sometimes missing however we never failed to find ourselves a really lovely meal at each sitting. If you are looking for a peaceful, romantic meal however then the restuarant is like a busy school canteen constantly!! Food however was always being cooked fresh, and there was an excellent selection. Meal times started quite late - 8am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and 7pm for dinner - not really family friendly for kids that like food early on. We ended up having to buy food and feed ours early on in room - not ideal.
The entertainment started very late on - mini disco for kids was a good laugh but didn't get going until 9ish - then the main entertainment started around 10ish and went on til at least half eleven. This was definitley a problem as the entertainment was on the whole very poor, however, escaping to your room for an early night and a good book was not an option, especially if you had a pool view room overlooking the stage. It is no exageration to say that it couldn't have been any noisier if the acts had been in our room!!!! Karaoke night was unbelievable. A terrible choice of holiday entertainment with no control of who went up and it was usually kids shouting bob the builder into the microphone. With a one year old who goes to bed early this really was painful entertainment and something you need to consider before booking.
Pool area is ok but as mentioned previously it opens late (10am) and people start queuing early on and then when they open the door everyone runs for the best loungers with all the umbrellas taken. The baby pool is really good though and our little one loved it. There was also a kids club around 3ish for the older kids which they seemed to love.
We were all inclusive - beer was excellent (Amstel), spirits local and wine was good, particularly the rose if you get the bottle with your dinner. We were all inclusive which was good as we drank loads of water etc due to it being soo warm. Drinks not available until 11am however on the all inclusive option.

There is a gym and indoor pool but you have to pay 4-5 euros a time to use these.

All in all we had a fab holiday due to the weather, location and sometimes due to the hotel. We did have to find ourselves making the most of sometimes the poor facilities, lightening up and being positive!! However due to the time of year, it wasn't really a cheap holiday and I feel the hotel really does need to spend some of its income on giving certain areas a facelift. They have the staff and location and this has the potential of being excellent.

Room Tip: Not a pool view one if you want to sleep!!! Family rooms are a must if there are three or more of y...

Just back from a family holiday at Euro Salou. Five star holiday in a three star hotel. The staff were excellent, always a smile and very helpful. The girls in the pool bar were very busy but always very nice and always a smile. Food was very good and plenty to pick from. Bar staff at night were very good, funny and quick. So to everyone who complained about things at Euro Salou, get a life. Remember it's only a three star hotel. Thanks Euro Salou for a great holiday! Hope to get back soon!

Booked this holiday as a family entertainment all inclusive. Hotel was very clean with very friendly staff! The rooms were basic which were cleaned daily . We had 2 adults and one child if there were more people in a room it would have been cramped . Entertainment was brilliant especially the kids disco ! We wish we stayed longer than 7 days . The food was good variety the wine not so nice ! Only downfall was the sun bed chase every morning ! The area was quiet and kept clean with nice bars and shops ! Absolutely gutted to come home !

First impressions of this hotel looked quite nice. But once we got to our room this was a different thing. Our beds was not to bad until we discovered the third bed was a pullout from one of the other beds. then you have no room to get to the wardrobe. The spear bed was torn badly in two of the corners a wall light that kept on falling over and hitting the wife while in bed, broken floor tiles so we put a cupboard over it.In the room you only have 1 power socket for the TV so if you want to plug in another appliance you can"t watch TV.Oh the biggest and funniest thing you will see is that the swimming pool don"t open until 10"O,clock and they start queuing around 9 to get a sun bed. When they get told they can go in it all for all for the sun beds arguments with people who wants certain beds. Now some of the good bits are the staff are help full the food is"nt to bad the meats are very tender.Champagne for breakfast.Make sure you are all inclusive other wise can get expensive.

Room Tip: we was on the main road could not hear any think until opening patio door
