Stay 20th-27th Sept: We arrived at the hotel after an early morning flight (very worried after reading previous rewiews) and although the reception was extremely busy they were friendly. We were informed that our room wouldn't be ready till approx 12 o'clock which was slightly dissapointing as it was hot and we wanted to freshen up and change however it does state on website that check-in for rooms is 1pm so we couldn't hold that against them! When we returned to reception at 12 the room was ready as promised and it was very clean with plenty of space for our stay. The rooms were well cleaned on a daily basis and towels changed when needed. The staff at the hotel were very friendly in the reception/bar/resteraunt/pool area, we certainly didn't find an un-helpful staff member during our stay. There was plenty of choice of food in the resteraunt and we ate well!! just remember to place your room card on your table as we had ours cleared a couple of times whilst getting dessert because they thought we had finished and we were finally informed that if you leave you key on table this would not happen (if only they had told us that at the beginning of the week). The resteraunt staff were very busy but would always help if you needed anything. We had packed lunches provided a couple of days when we planned days out and this was no problem for the hotel and very easy to order. A day on the catamaran boat is well worth while if you want to relax for a few hours and you get the opportunity to dive off the boat when it anchors away from shore (if you want). The general hotel and pool area was kept clean and tidy and tables cleared and cleaned regulaly. It was about a 10 min walk to the beach which was lovely and plenty of shops on the way. The entertainment at the hotel wasn't great it started quite late and wasn't on for very long although there was a variety ( flamenco dancing, bingo, tribal dances, singing etc) and there was very little entertainment during the day however we went for a relaxing holiday and we certainlhy got what we asked for. Our flight home was a morning flight and we ordered a early breakfast which was described as a simple coffee/juice and a croissant however we were rather dissapointed as the quality was poor. If you are after alot of entertaiment during your holiday I would not recommend this hotel however it was lovely for a relaxing week in the sun which is just what we needed. I would certainly consider staying here again!

We spent a week in this hotel from 9th to 17th of September and we were really worried going reading some of the reviews. However after being there myself I can say alot of the reviews you can take with a pinch of salt. We arrived at 1am, the guy in reception did not speak english so it wasn't a good start, so this is something they could improve on. Our room was on the 5th floor with a view of the pool, was an ok size, considering we would not be spending all day in there it didn't bother us! The restaurant was an experience. Staff were friendly and I can honestly say they tried their best given that they were so short staffed and also had to put up with rude customers, both English and Spanish. Alot of the Spanish customers were extremely rude and did not wait to be seated and instead found tables for themeselves, fair play to the manager as he spotted them all and asked them to leave - after some heated words! The food was great, breakfast was not so good but we did enjoy the sparkling wine at the weekends. Dinner had alot of choice - yes there is some dishes on every night, but I think the hotel tries to cater for the English customers with the chips and beef etc. I can't get over some of the comments been made by English customers complaining about Spanish people and the entertainment being in Spanish!!! FYI your in SPAIN!!!!!! What do you expect???? If you feel you have to moan about this, stay at home. When tourist come over to English speaking countries do they expect the entertainment to be in their language? Plus your on holidays, if you dont like it there are millions of bars around the area for you to enjoy its not like your forced to listen. The area itself is great, 10 mins to beach and all the shops etc. Alot of choice of bars?restaurants nearby. Overall we had a great holiday,we really enjoyed it and we were very relaxed coming home. We would return!

Room Tip: Ask for a remote for the Air con as soon as you check in! It will save you alot of hassle!!!

stayed 13 -20 September 2011
Reception staff helpful, check in easy. Room on 6th floor, cleaned daily by hard working cleaning staff - no problem with room. How long do you stay in your room anyway? Ok, maybe it was different in July and August but we never had a problem getting a sunbed when we went to the pool. Pool area was partly shaded but no problem. Food at hotel was very good, plenty of choice. I would have thought enough choice for every taste? We never had a problem with any of the dining room staff there. We spoke to them respectably and friendly and were treated likewise. Some english guests seemed to have a problem with staff and other spanish guests.??? Perhaps they should consider holidaying in England if they want english food and entertainment and staff to speak english, afterall, it is Spain! We were embarressed, to say the least by the attitude and moans and groans of some fellow english guests. Beautiful beach 10 mins walk from hotel, plenty of little shops along the way.All inclusive was fine. We had more than enough food and drink at the hotel. Overall, we had a good holiday in this typical 3* spanish hotel.

We stayed at Eurosalou 13th September until 20th September 2011 all inclusive and really enjoyed our stay. This hotel was one of the cheapest we found of the same rating.
We arrived just before midday, our room was ready and we checked in easily.
First thoughts of the room was that it was quite small. There wasn't much space but it was ok for the 2 of us considering that we would be out during the day anyway. The room had everything you would need and was clean, and we had a good pool view. The only downside to the room was that the shower head holder was broken but everything else was fine. The maid came everyday to clean the room and make the beds etc and changed our towels when we wanted them changed.

The bar and restaurant staff were really friendly and we could have a laugh with them. Even when i spilt my drink (twice) they was fine about it. Basically we was friendly to them and they was friendly to us and made us feel welcome. Same with the staff at reception. They spoke ok English and was really helpful. Our rep told us we might need ID to take to Portaventura with us because we pre booked tickets and said that reception might be able to do us a photocopy of our passports. We went and asked and they did it for us no problem. They also rang us a taxi when we needed one and when we kept having problems getting the card to our room to work, they sorted that without any hassle too. It seemed that anything you went to them about they would try their best to do something about it. They were welcoming and approachable so you couldn't ask for much more really.

Food was quite good compared to other all inclusives I've previously stayed in. There was variety and in the morning a chef would cook omlettes, fried eggs and pancakes fresh to order.

In terms of location, its around a 10 minute walk to the beach with alot of shops along the way, a short taxi or bus ride to Portaventura and right next to the hotel is a small supermarket, pharmacy and a few more other little shops and bars. It was a really nice area to be honest.

Although we didnt spend much time round the pool, it seemed ok if you go in the morning to make sure you get a sunbed. There was a bar selling drinks and snacks which were cooked fresh. However the hotel being surrounded by other buildings meant that alot of the pool area was in the shade until later on in the day.

Overall, the hotel did its job, it was clean which was the main thing. We was more bothered about having a nice time in the sun during the day rahter than fussing about the few bad bits and i would consider going back!

just returned from a two week holiday in the eurosalou hotel, when we booked this hotel we did read all of these terrible reviews but also quite a few goods ones. so decided to go ahead as we believed some reviews were well exaggerated. let me tell you this is not the case!! hotel is very clean and food is of good standard, HOWEVER staff were abusive and refused to serve you it the bar if they didnt like your face that day one poor woman ended up eating out everyday as the all refused to serve her (all inclusive too) and taunted her she was too fat to eat anyway, pool area is tiny and doesnt open til 10am with minimum sunbeds around meaning you have to line up at approx 9:30 but what they did was spanish would be in one line english in another and they would delibrately let the spanish in first so u never got a sunbed. 14 nights of poor entertainment only 2 of these nights were english every other night was a spanish singer or band so you had no clue what you were listening to. life guard should be sacked and we are currently fighting that as this is my major problem he sat in corner with his sunglasses on playing with his phone all day while my son was drowning my partner had to jump in fully clothed to save oh and you never guess what the lifeguard did while my partner was doing his job he was trying to steal his iphone which he quickly threw out his pocket as he jumped in. luckily an english woman swimming in the pool seen him kick it under his sunbed. through the holiday this lifeguard was too late to react as 5 more holidaymakers jumped in to save children! the hotel is quite far out from the main strip and the beach approx 20min walk to beach and 30 mins to decent nightlife which wasnt too clever but we knew that before we went. every other night a bus full of approx 30 portugese children came apparently at least once per week the hotel caters for school visits??? anyway there was 3 visits within our stay, this school trip only had 2 teachers watching them as you can imagine they ran up and down the corridors til 4am blocked the stairways and wouldnt let you up or down unless you shove them out way like i had too. then in the games room if they can call it that they dragged the other kids out by the hair. but let me tell you this the adults are just as bad after my neice was playing a arcade and a young spanish boy wanted to be on his father pulled her off then called her a english b*****d. childrens entertainment is the same four songs every night 9:30pm-9:45pm that is it.this hotel only caters for there own people in my eyes, and employs the worst of staff which i will honestly say is a shame because if they could change these things the hotel does have potential as i said earlier it is clean and food is good but they treat you like something they trod in!

Patrick from Leicester. 06/09/11-16/09/11. Today i got back from Eurosalou. We booked this hotel last year believing it was a 4star, as time went on it went down to a 3+ and now its a 3.... obviously theres something not right! I went with a group of family and friends including 3 babies. Ill start by saying the food is good, they have a good choice but if you have kids i don't think they would be too keen on things like rabbit, whole fish etc, and it says it does snacks through the day? yes they do, toates, hot dogs and chips! Eurosalou is full of spanish customers all the 'Entertainment' is in spanish, the waiters wont even wipe your table if your not spanish its ridiculous! The waiters are so rude, they look at you like their paying our wage! However the entertainer 'mark' is brill, hes good with the kids and he will have a laugh. All the entertainment you watch the first week; be prepared if your going for 2 weeks because you get to watch it all over again in your second week as it a one week rotation. The 'all inclusive' drinks start at 11:00am, my 3 year old son goes up at 10:50 asking for juice in his becker they told him no because he had no money. DISCUSTED! Don't get me wrong im not trying to put you off im being honest, people say its what you make it! The problem is this hotel wont let you have fun, bar shuts at 12 and then they turn the lights off so you cant even sit there! 'MINI CLUB' what mini club? There was a lock room with a bike lock on it and it did not open once! The rooms look really spacious in the pictures. Trust me there NOT. The pictures are well out of date, there are no pillars in the water and the water fountain does not work. There are big evergreen trees that have overgrown at the back near the pool what blocks your sun in the afternoon. These are not shown on the pictures. (false advertising/miss selling) I could go on and on and on. I have worked all year and spent thousands on this holiday just to feel i ow them something. I am very disapointed and i will not be going here again. Salou Yes! Eurosalou No! When you go write down everything they do and put a review on. overall would not rate this hotel. POOR!
