Just got back from a lovely break in Salou. Considering what we paid (less than £250pp all in) for a week my expectations were not high. However i was pleasantly surprised, the food was ok always something to eat and the drinks were the excellent local beer is Estrella a good brand and local spirits were good enough. The rooms are clean but need updating, the beds are particularly hard and the bath tub needed replacing as the enamel was waring away. This hotel is noisy until about 12:30 at night and if thats ok with you this is a good value option but i do not advise for the elderly or people wanting a quiet life. This is a fun hotel with a holiday camp atmosphere, the roof top adults bar is stunning and well worth going for. Enjoy it it can be fun if you want it to be!

Room Tip: Rooms with a pool and sea view have the best balconies but are the noisiest stay away from the groun...

The hotel itself is fine, although it could do with some updating, we had made service every day of our week long stay, and the staff were always polite and curtious. The entertainment was virtually non existant and when there was it wasn't worth staying around for (maybe because it was the end of the season). Pool area is great but if you adults want to get away from kids then go upto the 4/5 floor, on the roof (over 18s only) they have a bar, toilets and jacquzis with plenty of space to sunbathe, the views from up there are fabulous and Sebastian the barman was great. The restaurant is big and the food was fine, always plenty of it but not much vartiety sometimes it got a bit boring but there was always something to eat and the food were always hot. The hotel is situated in Cap Salou on a slight hill and if you are disabled then I would'nt recommend it there are only about 4/5 bars resturants, a supermarket and a chemist there and theses are all at the bottom of hills along with the beach and some of the paths down to the beach are quite steep. there is a bus stop just outside the hotel and this will take you in Salou itself the promenade and beach there are stunning and seem to go on for miles and it is all on the flat there are the usual gift type shops and plenty of bars an resturants. I would definatley go back to Salou but would not stay in Cap Salou. Barcelona is a must see its absolutley beautiful and huge and full of all the hustle and bustle of a big city a day trip cost 20euro per person. We enjoyed our break as we were only going for a complete chill but please be aware if you are thinking of booking a holiday in Cap Salou it is extreemely Hilly

Just returned from this hotel this morning after a 4 night All inclusive break. First off the bad points: Room was a little smelly but found we got used to it after a few minutes. Drinks are weak/watered down in the downstairs bar. Walls are paper thin so can hear your neighbours talking and finally All inclusive snack are really poor and can only be eaten in the restaurant.
Now for the good points: Great location(right beside bus stops, shops)Staff very nice and if there is a problem they will try their best to sort it out.Food at meal times is really nice, especially the breakfast.Beds were comfortable.Maids cleaned the rooms everyday.Entertainment team were very good. Use of washing machines and dryers is free if AI and only 1 euro each if not. Overall verdict is i would return for a short break.

Hotel well presented, rooms large and airy cleaned daily to a good standard. Bathroom needed updating shower situated in the middle of wall tended to flood the place! Also no anti slip in bath which was rather daunting however it was clean and towels changed daily. Staff were friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. The restaurant manageress is a credit to the hotel, having dietary problems she went out of her way to be of assistance and despite being extremely busy was always smiling and polite. The food was varied and there was always plenty of choice. There was some rowdiness in the hotel from groups of people mainly in their 40s who were all inclusive and intent on drinking themselves silly but security were quick to react. Overall the only drawback could be the location quiet and very hilly and not suitable if disabled or have problems walking however bus stops are at the bottom of the road and are very frequent and cheap. Lovely scenic area with coves and clean beaches within easy reach of Salou, La Pineda and Tarragona.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel on right hand side are quieter as entertainment at poolside day and night

I've just returned home after a weeks all inclusive stay. I would begin by stating what many other reviewers have said about the place in that it is a basicaly a decent hotel which is well run but rooms could do with a freshen up. That said, they are very clean and comfortable in a standard way and anybody who says different are just being too pernickety! The only major gripes I can make about the rooms is that the walls are paper thin. When reviewers say you can hear whats going on in adjacent rooms, this is no exaggeration......you can hear absolutely EVERYTHING! This can make getting to sleep difficult if your an early bedder so take ear plugs if you are. The other main gripe I have is that the rooms were advertised with A/C, which they do have.......but only switched on at the managements discretion!. I realise October is not the hottest month of the season, but its still hot and stuffy at night and if a service is advertised, I expect to have it if I've paid for it! Management...are you listening? Food is not the best but again its fair and palatable if your not too pernickety and they do try to make some variations to meats on offer but its all low end quality and many seem very fatty. If high food standard is your priority....dont stay here. Hotel facilities are ok and the Laundrette room is free to all inclusive so handy for getting clothes all clean before setting off home if that sort of thing floats your boat. Staff are polite and mainly good natured, however, and Im referring solely to the bar staff here, you seem to have to win them over, (being female helps a lot here), to receive anything other than perfunctory service and smiles are few and far between otherwise. My personal challenge became the gruff chap in the roof bar who I could not raise a smile from no matter how persistant I was at being really pleasant to him! I know its the end of the season and the staff have probably had to put up with quite a few drunken idiots through the summer months and are weary of it all but a smile costs nothing gents! Speaking of drunken louts, we all have different ideas of what constututes a good holiday but as with every low budget hotel, you HAVE to accept that there will be a small element of residents with no concept of social graces or consideration for fellow residents and every night was rounded off with drunken shouting in the corridors. They spoil it for the more considerate guests but at this price, dont be surprised or complain. If you want to avoid them, spend more cash. A quiet hotel is a luxury you have to pay for. Entertainment is all you would expect of a budget hotel and if the slightly Hi-de-hi feel to it is not your thing then find somewhere else to be. Many do enjoy this sort of thing and the entertainment team deserve credit for working hard to make the evenings fun with the somewhat limited options they have at their disposal. I know much of what I have said is on the negative side but, if your realistic, this hotel ticks all the boxes for a comfortable and cheap holiday in the sun and I think too may reviewers mark the place down for issues outside the managements control. Finishing on a positive note, the rooftop jacuzzis are just the business and absolutely quieter for adults wanting to escape the madness of the main pool with excited children, (and some adults), and loudspeaker fed 70's/80's music. A very good balance which suits families and couples alike. Lastly I promised to mention Sandra on the excursions desk in the main foyer. An absolute gem of a lady who is a goldmine of local information and can provide all the excursions you could hope to book for the area at as cheap prices as you can find anywhere. I recommend the first thing you do to plan your stay is to speak to her. Its not just about the excursions, she can help you with a multitude of other local considerations as well as her knowledge of the area, people and customs is encyclopaedic.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 3rd or 4th floors when checking in to avoid the ambient street and bar nois...

The location was misleading it was not stated in the Travelstyle brochure that the hotel Molinos was in Cap Salou.
A bus ride to Salou (10 to 15 minutes ) 2.05 euros each way per person
It was impossible to walk to Salou even for ablebodied people and much to far
Most of our coach party were senior people and some disabled including ourselves
The Molinos Park Hotel is on extremely steep ground
As for the hotel it was basic and the food was cold
We will not return again

Room Tip: rooms on the south side are quieter
