“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

A very nice hotel in a central location but if your fitness level is low - be aware of a very steep incline to the front entrance. Room was nicely furnished but bathroom was tired although maid kept it very clean. Flat screen TV but only one English channel but loads if you speak Spanish or Catalan! Food varied and of good quality but attend at stipulated time if you want it freshly cooked. All the staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms at rear overlook buildings and night clubs so avoid unless you are a clubber or a good sleeper. Hope to return in future.

Room Tip: a poool view is essential unless you are a good sleeper

Stayed for one week 23 to 30 June. Hotel is extremely clean, bedrooms are a good size and kept clean. I would agree with other reviews that the maids leave the patio doors unlocked when they clean the room so maybe a good idea to have a word with them about that. The entertainment is rubbish unless you are the type who likes ballroom dancing etc. I thought food was decent, soup or salad for starters (2 choices of soup and lots of varieties on the salad bar), main courses usually included at least one fish dish, paella, three different meat dishes and various vegetables. The downside of eating in the hotel is the queues for food, because the hotel was full the queues were horrendous. There are a distinct lack of sunbeds and if you manage to get one (people actually queue up at the doors before 9 o'clock to put their towels on them) they are extremely uncomfortable. We managed to get a sunbed once in the week we stayed and that was at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. There are no matresses for the beds. There are three pool areas and I would estimate in total a maximum of about 100-150 beds. For a hotel this size that is definitely not enough when it is full. Other reviewers say you must have a pool view (meaning the front of the hotel). We actually stayed at the side of the hotel (room 121) overlooking a small pool and it was great (very little noise). I would recommend the hotel if you are the kind of person who either likes to go to the beach or likes to get out and about but if you are a sun worshipper who likes to lie by the pool pick a hotel with a bigger pool area and lots of beds.

We have just returned from a two weeks stay at the Las Vegas, and we can without doubt recommend the hotel to all, although we have only one negative point. In our opinion the beds are extremely hard and our sleep quality was poor. In fact we were glad to get up in the morning. If you are used to a hard bed then this will not bother you.

Our room and bathroom was always kept spotless each day by our lovely cleaner. The housekeeping staff has to be commended as all areas of the hotel, inside and out, are kept in pristine condition, including the pool area.

The hard working dining room staff do a wonderful job. There is always plenty of choice of food, even the fussiest would find something to eat. The salad bar was really good if you didn't fancy a hot meal.

We found all staff, reception, dining room, waiters and cleaners to be very friendly and helpful. The entertainment in the evening could be improved upon though.

Overall we had a really good holiday, in a lovely hotel. Certainly one of the best in Salou. The position of the hotel is outstanding. Two minutes to the beach, public transport and the shops.

this is my second visit to this hotel and it wont be my last as we have just booked again for next year its that good.we went on 19th june for 2 weeks and loved it.its so peacefull and relaxing and mainly full of adults not the local idiot stag hen parties drunk all over making noise etc.the worst part about this hotel is the sad sad sad brits that que like little plonkers every morning from half 8 till 9 till the pool opens then its a race even the overweight ones run like the wind just to get a sun bed I laughed all the time at the sados.there is a little pool aswell where the sun hits first thing and its hot hot hot,so go there and then in the afternoon go round to the big pool and get the sun in the afternoon as all the sados go away,so you can get the best and not look like a plonker chasing beds like the rest of them.the food has always been great, loads to pick from,if you don't like the food all the time then you have loads of good resturants near the hotel,we spent a lot of time down on the beach which is just a short walk.buy a umbrella and lilo and your sorted.there is a really nice bar for popping in on way back its called munich its straight across from the bag shop, and the beer is gooooood,2.50 for a pint and Christina and mama will look after you well.we didn't have a lot of entertainment in the hotel as we were out all the time at flowers, christies, chaplins.great if you have kids as allow them in until your ready to go home at early morning.youl find your way about easy.and youl enjoy this hotel as we always do.im a bit picky and stayed at 2 other hotels in salou and this beats them by far.enrique the barman is brill he is always working and always happy to serve you,the rest of the staff always say hello and are always polite.the maids are brill as always happy and smile a lot even tho they work really long hours to clean up all our rubbish so leave them a good tip as they deserve it more than anyone.just save all your change for your stay and leave it for them that way you keep them happy.the reception staff will help you any way they can so don't be scared to ask.the bus stop and train is just a short walk maby 1 min away.they will take you all over so just ask the planna man for timetable etc and he will help you aswell.once again I would say to anyone who wants a short break or long, book it as youl be hard presed to find another hotel as good as this and as near the beach.

Room Tip: try and get a room on the front as there is a hotel at the back full of party people and could keep...

We wanted a cheap holiday in Spain with a little bit of class - the hotel Las Vegas was the perfect choice. While we were there we didn't see any other hotels that looked to be the same standard! The breakfast and evening buffet was very good, lots of choice! The rooms were always very clean and all staff were very helpful! We would definitely recommend!

I stayed her the 12th to the 19th of May. It was just me and my boyfriend. Great location and room was nice (though the bathroom door is made of cloudy glass and doesn't lock)! The main pool was nice, good view of the beach, though not a lot of beds and it wasn't even in season and they would all be gone if you hadn't saved one.
Stayed on the second floor at the end of the corridor view of the sea, pool and front of hotel which was good!
Food was okay, not much choice, I usually find something I like each day but really struggled.
breakfast was horrible! It varied of eggs (Scramed, fried or boiled) Bacon, beans and some sort of sausage. I had toast and beans and an apple most days. Dinner was better but I still struggled.
You are assigned a seat for dinner but around half way through we arrived to find another couple in ours, it turned out that the table had been assigned to 2 other groups?? FAIL!
The entertainment was rather crap but it was the start of the season to be fair!
Most of the other guests were spanish which was unfortunate.
I would maybe return to this hotel in the middle of july when I know there are other British guests and better entertainment!
