Great Value hotel for the week with good food and great kids club entertainment.

There was a entertainment provided by rjpentertainment namely Simon Jack , Roxanne and another blonde girl who name escapes me , really made the kids happy with their brilliant attitude and patience and as they say a happy kid equals a happy parent.

Got back yesterday. Had a fantastic time. Michael, Simon, Jack, Roxanne, Amy, ( some of the entertainment staff ) are top class. We had such a laugh with these guys! The food and the kitchen/bar staff ( inc. Joseph Steve, and Mary ) are top note. Everything for our three children, aged three, nine, and twelve. Even the General Manager gave our youngest a high five everytime he saw him. Your holidays what you make it, and these guys will make it fantastic. We cant wait to go back!!

We rolled up, after getting lost in our hire car, hot sweaty and exhausted. The girl on reception was fab, spoke great English and was understanding as the kids ran rings around me. After taking our luggage to our apartment, which was clean and spacious although slightly dated, we headed to the snack bar. Staff in there were great and there was a decent range or snacky foods available, hot and cold, plus a wide variety of both soft and alcoholic drinks.

We did have one issue with the room, we couldnt get the door open. But the receptionist got the handyman out immediately and we were in within 5 minutes. The apartments are spacious but really could do with updating. The decor is just vary basic and as the hotel is now all inclusive, they should just rip the kitchens out. Our fridge was incredibly loud but worked brilliantly. The beds were all freshly made up on arrival and the air con was fantastic, well needed!

The entertainment staff (RJP Entertainment) were second to none! Really made each family feel special and they were amazing with our three children.

The meals at festival village were fab. Excellent variety to suit all tastes. Fresh salads, curries, chips, roast dinners, honestly, anything you can imagine! Desserts were delicious and I think I may have put about a stone on within a week haha.

One bad thing was that the pool was pretty cold. Although this didn't stop the kids.

There were plenty of sun-loungers around the pool so we could relax. The "RJP radio" was good, I was singing along whilst sunbathing. There was a lifeguard on duty, but he seemed more interested in topping up his tan tbh. But all holiday makers were vigilant and kept an eye on each other.

All in all we had a fantastic week, wish I was back there but unfortunately the 8 loads of washing are keeping me busy!

From everyone here in the festival thank you for your review and your kind words, it’s a great pleasure to all the staff knowing that you enjoyed your stay here with us. The festival village is one of a kind in this area offering large apartments as you have mentioned on all inclusive basis giving families the best of both worlds.Apologies you found the room to be a little dated and this is one thing we will be looking in to for the future
Thank you for your comments once again and we hope to see you soon here in the Festival Village

Just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday at the festival village in Cap Salou. The welcome we received when we arrived at the hotel was overwhelming, The staff could not do enough to help you and made us feel very welcome. The apartments were very spacious, clean and tidy. The eating area was clean and tidy and the food was very good and it catered for everyone. We had something different every time we ate. The entertainment crew also made a special impact into us enjoying our holiday.I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good holiday.

Stayed at the festival village apartments from the 2nd may 2014 to the 9th may 2014 has a last minute getaway for myself and the wife, after looking at various places to stay in,Ibiza,Costa Brava,Costa del Sol, Majorca we decided to stay in Salou in Costa Dorada has we had stayed there before and and had enjoyed salou . After looking for somewhere to stay and looking at comments on TripAdvisor we went for festival village has it seemed to be getting decent reviews. We arrived early morning at the apartments to be greeted with a firm handshake and to be told by the manager we are the first guests to arrive, this took me by surprise has many hotel managers are really not that bothered, anyway after booking in and given a quick tour we went up to our room in block a room 310 on 3rd floor overlooking pool and was really taken aback about the size of the room, good size bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and lounge dining area and a good size balcony . Breakfast dinner and tea food that was served was varied and with me being a fussy eater there was something to eat .The entertainment team worked very hard at there jobs, Michael,Amy,Hayley,Simon,Roxanne,Jack, all I can say is has some are newbies and are new they made us feel very welcome.
All the managers, bar staff and waiters all made us feeled welcome
and I would recommend this place if your after some sun, fun.
Bustop right outside with a 10 min ride to centre of salou, beach or 20 mins to the portaventura theme park.

Just to say I big thank you for a enjoyable week to everyone at the festival village apartments in Salou.

Came to the hotel in August 2012 and then again around the same time in 2013, we absolutely loved our stay in 2012 but this time around it wasn't as great. The food was as nice as ever but seemed very repetitive this time around, and the pool was freezing and my kids couldn't stand it. They loved the entertainment last time but it seemed dull and lacking and the kids refused to go to kids club as their favourite reps from the year before weren't there to help out. This did confuse me as they were brilliant. The guys this year were okay but we were looking forward to some familiar faces. The entertainment all in all was great, acrobats, singers and everything else were great but we spent most of our nights out in salou so cant comment on daytime games etc. The room seemed smaller and dustier than last year and with a 6 year old with asthma this wasnt good but after a day or two the room was spotless, would have been better for when we got there but can't complain. All in all our stay was nice but I think we will try somewhere new next time.

P.S. Check out the house of illusion in Salou center. Didn't get a chance to see it first time around but it's well worth the trip. Kids loved it.

The Food was good, staff were friendly and it was in a good location with the buses going every few minutes into Salou and la peinda (probably didn't spell that right!) and the beach just a ten minute walk! The only down side was that the beds were just a bit uncomfortable and we had to wait until our rooms were ready. But overall it was a good holiday and i would recommend the hotel!
