Stayed at this hotel from the 5-10 September 2012 just myself and my husband (a kid free break). Firstly, the location was great, everything you could possibly need, ie, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets & beach within either immediate locality or a couple of minutes walk. The hotel itself was very plush and very clean in all areas. The rooms very functional, albiet a little smaller than what we are used to but nonethless very clean and modern. We had a poolside room which was lovely. The evening entertainment at times was quite loud, although it didn't bother us to much. I could imagine it may if you have babies or smaller children that need to sleep. Entertainment stopped at around 11.30-12.00am. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a problem with our return transfer and asked if the reception staff could help me out. They were more than happy to make phonecalls on my behalf to resolve the issue. We had a bed and breakfast booking so cannot really comment too much on the other dining options but would say that the breakfast was very good and the variety great. Would definately recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return when again in Salou.

We stayed here for a week after three nights in Barcelona, and have to say, glad it was only a week!
On first impressions the entrance and reception area are lovely, staff were pleasant enough. Got to the room, and it was a good size, but the bathroom was a bit dated, as was the aircon. Nice and bright and modern tho with flatscreen tv and nice balcony etc.The biggest let down was how much money the hotel try to get out of its residents when they get there... i.e the wifi was €20!!!! for a week, they gave you a code which only works with one device. Complete rip off! The safety deposit was €17 plus €10 deposit and the fridge was €27 with €10deposit. This is not the service you expect when you pay for a 4* hotel.
Breakfast was ok, the continental stuff was adequate but the cooked breakfast was disgusting.
The pool area was simply awful. About 10 sunbeds around the pool which were in dire need of replacement. The rest of the space was taken up by rusty tables and chairs. Also a very shady, dull area. Needless to say we spent all of our time at the beach.
Unfortunately the people on here complaining about the paper thin walls are right!! Very noisy. Luckily were a young couple in our twenties so it didnt bother us too much, but felt very sorry for anyone with children trying to sleep.

Very poor value for money overall, considering you can stay at a much better 4* for very little extra. Wouldn't recommend.

Just back from 11 days in this Hotel. This Hotel is spotless. The reception staff were very curtious and polite and spoke good English I can't speak much Spanish even after 20 years of going to spain. Booked in within 10 mins Room spotless and cleaned every day with clean towels. The waiters beside the pool were very friendly and helpful. Listen you Moaning BRITS treat people as you would like to be treated. Food OK not brill but passable. Wine waiter was a joy.
Dining room very small and as stated by some people you MAY have to share a table, my husband has Parkinson's and shakes a lot and the head waiter very kindly got us a seat on our own , it was not a problem to her. If you fancy a coffee try the supermarket over the road the girls all wonderful no problem was one of the girls fav sayings . Brit pub over the road left me speechless once was too much. would we go back yes ,but food needs to inprove. Come on it did not cost that much for what you get. enjoy your could all be dead next year or worse still skint

Just got back from a week at the delfin park. Overall the hotel is clean and well situated from the beach and shops. The rooms are kept clean but as everyone says the walls are very thin. I had a very bad cold when i arrived so sorry to all that i kept awake coughing all night. The place is full of eastern europians whodo not understand our very polite british way of culture. A walk to the old town is a must an its a very pleasant stroll along the front. Watch out for the fountain shows at night as well as the bloke with the collie dog that plays football. Don't pay for Internet if you have a smart phone, as there is free wi-fi all along the beach front. The food at the hotel was not to my taste although I am a fussy eater. I found all the bread stale and the meats at night either too tough or not cooked enough for me. We ate in an oldenglish pub over the road ( the old brown cow) which was very reasonable and had a few drinks at the fox and hounds but beware of the bloke that runs it. He prefers to watch the tv rather than serve you. The best pub we found was the black bull. Fantastic prices, very strong cocktails and very good atmosphere. The put on a free quiz every night and play a few games of bingo. If going to visit port advetura park it is well worth paying the 25 euro's fast track for the rides but this is a huge theme park so be prepared for alot of walking. Overall we had a good holiday but would I return........maybe but I think I would prefer a different hotel

We arrived in reus and were greeted by Thomas cook reps who did a good job at organising our transfer. On arrival at the hotel we managed to go straight to our room (others before us hadn't been so lucky!) the room was basic but clean and the air con was good. We had a view over the pool which was good during the day but at night the entertainment meant we didn't get to sleep until it stopped at midnight. Noises from the rooms above and next to us could also be heard so it was never particularly peaceful! The food at the hotel was not too bad, however, we did not like the seating system of sitting with strangers but the supervisor at the restaurant was understanding and allowed us to sit at our own table. The breakfast buffet had a good variety but was not of a very high standard (especially as the hotel is considered 4 star!!) the dinner buffet was much better with different meat dishes each evening. On the downside, the waiters at the restaurant were not very polite and often seemed unwilling to help or serve drinks, they didn't seem very happy in their jobs. The pool area was really pleasant and we thought at first it looked too crowded but we never had a problem with getting a sun bed. We were disappointed with several hidden costs that at most 4 star hotels would have been included in the price of the holiday.. In order to get a key to the safe you had to pay 27 euros, ten of which you got back. We thought this was ridiculous so instead locked our things away in our suitcase. You also had to pay money to get the fridge to be connected again we thought this was not great and decided against paying. We paid 20 euros for the Internet for the week which wasn't too bad but the connection wasn't always that strong but was probably worth it so that we could get info about places to go etc. The location of the hotel is perfect- close to the beach, local transports and restaurants. We were offered by Thomas cook the chance to go to Barcelona for 32 euros each but actually it's worth walking the 20 minutes to the train station where return tickets to Barcelona are 15 euros each which is what we did and worked well because we weren't restricted by pick up times etc. We took up the offer of a complimentary trip from Thomas cook to montblanc which is a medieval Spanish town which was pretty however before hand we had a very strange talk from a woman about beds and mattresses which hadn't been in the itinery! But the town was nice so was probably worth it! Overall the hotel was satisfactory and provided a good base for the week but we probably would not return as it was a bit rough around the edges and was definitely not a four star hotel!

Returned from the H10 Delfin Park on the 10th August after a weeks holiday. My partner and I travelled with another couple and really couldn't fault the hotel.
Upon arrival we were told that dinner was served from 6.45pm. We asked if we could change to the later sitting and were told we could. Staff were very efficient and polite and spoke good English. Always happy to help. Rooms were spacious and clean however the walls were thin and we could hear neighbours talking in the early hours - wasn't too much of an issue. Our room overlooked the square so you did hear music from the hotel next door but again we didn't find this an issue as it had usually finished by the time we'd returned.
The hotel is in a really good spot, just off the main strip of Salou.
Pool area didn't look huge but it was plenty big enough. Sunbeds had to be reserved at 8am when the pool opened otherwise you had no chance of a bed!! Took us a few days to figure out where the best spot was to be in the sun for most of the day as alot of the pool is shaded by the surrounding trees. We found that just over from the bridge, near the bar was a good spot or by the wall near the hotel entrance.
We did the Ultimate Barcelona excursion on the Thursday of our stay. Fantastic trip but a long day! Got to see plenty of sights and our tour guide Jess was very informative. Very worth the money if you want to see Barcelona and the sights such as the football ground and magic fountains.
We also went to see two shows at night. The first show we saw was House of Illusions which was an amazing magic show. The second was Decades - fun for everyone!! We had a brilliant time and both shows included all inclusive drinks - bonus!
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel.

I have just got back from a week at the Delfin. A few things that I would like to point out.
On arriving last Friday at 10.30am, we were told a Thomas Cook rep would meet us. No one was there and the very unhelpful reception staff told us to check in so we did. Filled out everything had passports copied which was fair enough then told they had no idea when our rooms would be ready. We asked maybe by 12 and were told yes come back then. We did that then told again no not ready and no idea when!!! With no rep around we were left to wait. At 1.40pm we were told you can have rooms now.
Rooms I would describe at 2* more like a Travellodge. I have no problem with Travellodge but wasn't expecting that standard. Rooms are small and basic. Beds are hard and walls very thin. You always know what the people next door are doing, be it shower, watching TV or chatting away.
Balcony has a plastic partition between each one which smokers sit out on. If your a non smoker this is unpleasant.
T.V has news channel in english and a discovery channel but that's it. We don't go to watch TV but worth pointing out.
BEWARE we overlooked the pool and music stopped at nearly midnight every night. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. We had to buy an extra room key for 1 euro as you can only have one. Safe and fridge soon mount up with room key to 36 euros. All to bare in mind.
Maids were lovely and without doubt the hardest working people in the hotel.
Thomas Cook rep turned up at 9.30am the next day to tell us there had been a mix up and person that should have come to hotel didn't. No rep around on Wed pm, all day Thursday and not when we left Friday.
Food was fine, lots of choice not wonderful but all in all fine. You won't go hungry and fish dishes were excellent.
Reception staff nip out for cigarettes by the pool which is an interesting area. Looks good, small pool for tots, bigger pool and plunge pool. None huge but fine.
Most sunbeds are old and cancvas ripped or broken. No point in a sign that says do not reserve sunbeds which is displayed as every day people did and all gone by 9am most days. Available again about 5pm.
Constant smokers around pool make what could be a pleasant area not so. Even saw people smoking while sitting on pool edge.
Place in general is clean due to maids, they should run the place. Even on leaving the reception staff treat you as if you are in the way. Our time for pick up was 7.40am and restaurant for breakfast opens at 7.45am. We asked if we could grab a piece of fruit and a biscuit to take with us at 7.40am and was told in no uncetain terms NO.
The Delfin is a 2* hotel playing at trying to be better. I have never left a review ever for anywhere we have stayed but this place you really do need to think hard about.
I would never return even for free.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking pools you have to listen to loud music, entertainers...not brilliant and BINGO...
