Just returned from a great week's holiday in this hotel. Rooms are very comfortable with huge private balconies. Restaurant has plenty of choices and should be something there to suit everyone. Position of hotel is ideal for all Salou has to offer. 5 minutes walk to Port Aventura and 10 minutes to the large clean promenade.Only downfall is the pool area. People must be down before 7am to put their towels on the bed and sometimes don't appear again till lunchtime and the hotel does nothing to stop this. Also there needs to be more parasols as we were never able to get one in the full week we were there. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms looking out the front were quieter and had great views of Port Aventura

My family and I have just returned from a great 2 weeks stay at the Salauris Palace. We found it to be a friendly, well run and clean hotel with very little to fault.
The food after reading previous reviews was a little worry, but to be honest we did not have one bad meal. Yes it would be nice to have Irish/UK bacon for breakfast but if that is the only negative then I will stop there.
Meal times always have their peaks, avoid these times and the restaurant is a pleasure.
As per previous reviews the staff are great, the waiting staff and bar staff never stop; from the cleaners to the management they always helped if possible.
The noise levels are great if you are lucky to get considerate neighbours, the ones at the end of my 14 day stay thought 4am is a good time to sit and chat on the balcony for an hour!?. That is just poor manners and not the fault of the hotel.
The Kids club runs a great show, although my son only went once because he loved the pool so much! Sara and Team thank you for always involving him : )
Little faults and I mean little:
Tea and Coffee in the rooms would be great, really missed my coffee.
TV only had Sky news or CNN and BBC Worldnews. Just 1 kids station for the getting ready to go out stage would be a great help.
The Bar with its great staff, Ivan, Andres, Natalia etc should ask for Sky Sports as it would keep the custom there and not force customers up the road!

I would have loved to give the H10 full marks but there is always room to improve but not by much.

We have just arrived back home to Northern Ireland after our 3rd year in a row at this hotel on our family holiday.Once again what a fantastic Hotel with really high standards! The rooms are very clean and a good size. The restaurant is fantastic. It is very spacious and offers a wide range of food to suit all tastes, with a fantastic range of main courses and desserts. The Hotel animation team are absolutely fantastic and they made our holiday with so many exciting activities and clubs for all the family. A big thank you to Desiree,Sara,Jose & Lia!!There is also great evening shows and a mini disco. There is lots of room around the pool and no problems getting sunbeds. The location is excellent with a 10 minute walk to Portaventura, water park and the beach. This Hotel offers something for everyone!

We were half board but only had breakfast twice and dinner once in the hotel as we like to eat out.but great English breakfast provided and yummy chicken and pork chops too!

My husband and I stayed one week for our honeymoon. First impressions were great, we hired bikes from the hotel and they were well maintained.

We did have to move rooms at 12.30am 3 days into our honeymoon due to a toilet leak, it would have been nice for the offer of help from reception to move our belongings as it was rather late but no offer given. Other then this both our rooms were extremely clean except around the tiles near the shower and on the floor next to the bath which had a fair bit of mould which a toothbrush and Mildrew cleaner would clean up very easily.

We slept very well as the beds were extremely comfortable.

Our room overlooked the road (which was requested) and was lovely and quiet, you could see port Aventura rides and the air con was fantastic, our room was so cool and welcoming after being out in 33 degree heat!

Pool area was clean, staff friendly, lovely and cool for a swim.lots of inflatables for kids during some days, lots of activities and entertainment going on.

The best part was for the adults....the jacuzzi for over 16s only on the roof of the hotel!Lovely and relaxing and quiet and a beautiful view of salou. This was the highlight of our honeymoon!

We are planning on returning next year with the kids as this hotel is very family friendly hotel!

Room Tip: The road rooms are not noisey, the main road is to the right of the hotel not right in front of it. Try for top floor though for the views of port aventura.

I stayed at the H10 Salauris Palace from 9th - 19th July, staying in room 570 which is on the fifth floor. Although not overlooking the pool, the room had a great view of the PortAdventura theme park and the area was quiet so we didn't experience any noise problems. The room itself was great - nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. It had all mod cons (air conditioning, a safe which is free to use, a fridge, flat screen TV) and plenty of wardrobe space. Beds were comfortable, although I would have preferred a double bed rather than two singles pushed together (although to be fair most other hotels I have visited have also done this).
We stayed on a half-board basis, and as many have already pointed out, you'd have to be the world's fussiest eater to not find something you like. Although the breakfast wasn't the best I've ever experienced, mainly because of cultural differences (the bacon and sausages are very different to what you'd get back in England), there was still plenty of choice, from fruit, cereals, yoghurts, hot food and freshly made pancakes & waffles. The evening meal was always great, with a huge variety of food on offer to cater to all tastes, with fresh meals made in front of you at the back bar.
The pool was good - we did notice a lot of people reserving sunloungers but didn't stay around the pool until our last day as there was so much else to do. When we did spend a day at the pool, we walked in at around 11am and found two empty sunloungers without much trouble (new stacks are put out as the others fill up - if you can't find one, just ask, as the staff are very helpful). Lots of activities around the pool for both adults and kids.
The evening entertainment was some of the best I've ever experienced at this kind of hotel - although it was sometimes tedious sitting through the kid's entertainment (from 9pm - 10pm) the adult entertainment was great. No dodgy tribute acts or comedy shows, just genuinely good dancers and singers. The salsa and flamenco fusion performance was particularly good.
This hotel is ideally located for getting to PortAdventura - don't bother paying 3 euros each for the road train, as you can walk there in around 10mins! The beach and bars are around a 10min walk in the other direction, which is hardly strenuous. Some great bars are situated directly on the beach while others on the beachfront also sell fab cocktails - try Lunatic or Lasal bar.
Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly at reception where you can book excursions or theme park tickets to avoid queuing on the day. The information centre just down the road from the hotel is also very helpful - they helped us to plan a trip to Barcelona by train and the Lumine Beach Club (well worth a visit!)
Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to someone travelling to Salou wholeheartedly.
