When we went to this restaurant we were greeted by the nicest staff. Tony was very kind. We felt the menu was kind of average and a bit limited. The food that came out was tasty but nothing special. If you are looking for somewhere with safe food come here but it will not wow you

Thank Dan K

Found this pub on our first day, and made it our local for the rest of the holiday. It is a fabulous place, that had the look and feel of a homely pub! The food was faultless and a good choice on the menu, which we found very reasonably priced!! The staff were amazing ...so friendly, so helpful and so courteous. Don't be put off by the name .. it is a clean, friendly place! We loved it!

We visited for breakfast with our 2 children in their buggies last week.

A member of staff (im assuming the manager) came over & asked us to move the buggies as they were taking up too much space beside a table for 6 & that he would be "busy for the rugby later". We moved 1 to an area out of the way but He was so "helpful" he started moving the other one himself!

We weren't in the way of anyone else passing our table & the rugby wasnt starting for at least 2 hours.

When we were finished & left there were only 2 other tables occupied,so there had been no need for him to make us feel unwelcome!

I mentioned this to him when we paid our bill & he was less than understanding...Not a very professional or welcoming guy to have as the face of a business.

Thank aily

As i stated to you at the time it was never my to make you feel unwelcome. To say i was less than understanding is right as i do not understand as it was a simple request to move your two buggies out of the way as the 4 of you were taking up 10 seats and yes it was in preparation for Ireland v Australia in the rugby. You also told me at the time you worked in hospitality so you should know any sport involving any Irish team is going to be extremely busy. This also seems to be only a problem for yourself as the rest of your party your mother/father(mother in law - father in law)booked a table after the event and continued to use the mucky duck.Tony

We called to the Mucky Duck on a Sunday night and although they were busy, Tony the owner found us a table. My wife is a celiac and they offered a great selection of gluten free options. The chicken curry was really good, and the kids loved kids menu. We returned here the following night for our meal, and enjoyed it even more. Keep up the good work.
