We went to Cala font hotel in Cap Salou and it was one of the best family holidays I ever been on:-) The beach is a stone throw away from the hotel and its lovely and the hotel was gorgeous. Enterainment was super and the food was too...we even had turkey ham and roast beef with all the trimmings:-) there is food to cater for everyone I even enjoyed some dishes I never had before. You do get ppl to complain but I guess they r the ones that look thru a magnifying glass at the tiny bit of dust in the corner:-/ Anyway rooms r lovely very spacious and spotless thank you to the hotel staff that got us HP brown sauce lol.... One bad thing is we had only booked one week and not 2 (or more) Thanks to all the staff at Cala Font Hotel :-)xx

We stayed at the Hotel Cala Font in Cap Salou, on the 7/6/13 to 14/6/13. And overhaul had a lovely Holiday. We stayed on the 4th floor overlooking the bay & the pool. The room was Clean, & the cleaners came in every day.We had bath with an over shower. the water was always hot. The tv only got CNN & I like at least the news when on my Hols. The meals were Buffet style we was full board, We enjoyed our meals not fantastic but better than some places we have stayed. The Reception was ok but not over the top.To get to the local bus stop you had to walk up a small steep hill,It cost about 4 Euros for 2 on the bus to salou. The Hotel has a 4**** Rating. Now for the down side The Hotel had a Very Very high amount of Russians, & They are not nice Human beings. They would rather walk through you than go round you, So anti Social. & Waste they stock there Tables up like food is going out of fashion, & Then Leave most of it.So Rude to the staff, They Really make our old Foes the Germans look angelic. So you have to ride above it, As for Sun beds you Get whats Left. We would go to The Cala Font Again. I hope this Helps if you have Never been. Also its on a 20Min Transfer from the Airport. One more Thing the Room Walls are a Little thin.

We have just returned from a 10 night holiday at the Cala Font Hotel, Cap Salou and would recommend it to anyone. It is very clean and the food was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and nothing was any trouble when asked. It's on a quiet cove a mile from Salou but close to some shops and restaurants if you need them. A bus stop is also just up the road. You can get a bus card which makes getting around easier and a lot cheaper. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: we emailed the hotel direct before staying to request a sea facing room.

Cala Font Hotel is really a great place! And I would strongly recommend it for its wonderful hospitality and great services. From the moment we reached this hotel and till the time we left, the way all the staff members pampered us was amazing. They were immensely kind and obliging. Paid a great attention to even the smallest details. Property itself is stunning and very well maintained. Food was very delicious and elegantly served. Tea was mind-blowing and my room had everything that is needed for a luxurious stay. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this hotel for a week with my fiancé from the 8th June until the 15th June. We flew with Jet 2 (the service was impeccable as usual). The hotel has a stunning interior; everything is spotlessly clean, including all of the rooms. The area is really well looked after including the beach. (It is on a BIG hill!! beware!) The professional photos of this hotel are representative of what the hotel actually looks like. The reception staff and bar staff give good customer service.

The food served in the hotel is ok. Plenty of things to choose from but similar meals are served every night. There are some nice restaurants round the corner if you fancy a change. We quite liked the smugglers inn (an Irish place). Also, if you want to eat at the restaurant between 7pm and 8pm you will have to queue for at least 15 minutes because either the tables were not available or the waiters were distracted by serving people drinks which means the people queuing were low priority. By the end of the holiday we had decided to eat after 8 because we were so fed up by it.

Another improvement point for the hotel would be to conduct the children’s activities away from where all of the adults are relaxing. Every day the children would either be running around where all of the adults were relaxing, playing games with hoops, balls e.t.c or taking up the majority of the adult pool playing games in there instead. This was highly irritating! Especially when there is a games room left empty for most of the day and an empty children’s pool. Also in terms of getting a sun bed it says you are not allowed to reserve sun beds, but at 9 (when the pool opens every morning) there was a stampede of people desperate to get the best spots, they leave their towels there and go back to bed, nobody does anything about it. However, there are always plenty of beds available just no spaces left to put them.

The last point that disappointed me about this hotel was that we were told we would have air conditioning from the 9th of June but because that particular day was a cool day they decided to delay switching it on until the following Saturday. They did not take into account that by the Wednesday the temperature reached between 27 and 30 degrees meaning the hotel rooms were overwhelmingly hot. I did make a complaint about this to the reception staff but all they said to me was that they couldn’t switch it on until the 15th. Also I would request a room with a view of the pool or sea because some unfortunate people either had a view of a set of trees or a wall. I have included a photo of this.

Overall, the hotel is well presented and very clean but they need to take into consideration the customer’s needs. I don't want the improvements to over shadow how nice the hotel and area is but they were points that spoilt my holiday.

we booked this as a last minute deal with Thomas Cook asking for a 5 star hotel for 2 star price and we got just that. the hotel is rated four star and i would totally agree with this for Spanish standards. the rooms were a good size cleaned every day and towels were changed daily. the restaurant had good food and catered for everyone, most nights they had the same kind of thing but always something to choose from and you don't have to always have chips. the staff int he restaurant work really hard but always had a smile on there face. breakfast was our favourite meal with lots of choices. the hotel was predominantly east Europeans and at times can be very rude, you have to rise above this and ignore what you can however this can become difficult sometimes when they are pushy and rude, especially to the hotel staff. they don't allow towels to be placed on beds so there is no saving the sunbeds round the pool you still have to get up early to get a bed and a good spot round the pool something which we did not bother doing. the beds on the beach are five euro's each not something we were willing to pay and an umbrella is seven euro's which is ridiculously expensive. the weather was lovely during our stay with a lovely breeze blowing do no umbrella needed although there is no other shade for you to sit in. the walk into Salou is about 40 minutes not 30 as some people are saying it is very hilly as well so not suitable for everyone but is a nice walk in the evening otherwise there is a bus that runs regularly. the hotel provide entertainment which is more aimed at families with children, there are not many other places to go for entertainment so we ended up in bed early every night not a bad thing as had gone for a good rest which is exactly what we got. the only downside of the hotel is walls are very thin and if you are next to a Russian family they tend to be very loud and have the TV on till early hours very loud!!! i would recommend this hotel and place if you would like a quite break if you want some entertainment and a bit of life then this would not be the place for you.

Myself (27) and my partner (32) returned home from a wks holiday on Sunday. Weather was fab, hotel was very very clean and beach was great. For families this hotel is perfect plenty for the kids and something on every nyt. Food was wat you would expect when half bopard or all inclusive. The special which was on some nights inc, roast ham and beef was very well cooked and delish!. Salou is quite a walk but a lovely walk and more for nightlife. The bus which picked us up from the airport dropped us a five minute walk from the hotel, the hills are very steep so I guess the large buses just could nt get down. For us this wasnt a great problem, as we got a great transfer deal, however if you arrive in the middle of the night and have young children or babies this may be really inconvinent. This hotel had about 90% Russian guests, which do eat huge amounts and will be rude and throw you out the way to get past but to be honest its best jst to ignore them, your on holiday no point stressing (few times were just totally shockin manners really had to bite my tounge). Staff in the resturant were fab, however reception staff were not very happy or helpfull. Overall price was great, food was standard, room was cleaned everyday and fresh towles if you wanted them, beach was right at hotel and very nice (5 euro a day for a sun bed on the beach, so take beach towels!). Would defo go bk :)

Room Tip: some rooms were on the ground floor looking on bushes and the main road. we got a view of pool and b...
