“Home away from home”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Situated on a small hill up from Salou Centre, the Guinness Tavern is a welcome sight, with Irish written all over it :-), and run by a great bunch of Lads n Lassies.

There are tables outside and usually a cool breeze blowing from along the coast line. Magners was on flow and after a few days of local lager it was welcome indeed, laced with cold refreshing ice.

The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is fantastic, with a good variety to choose from. Don't miss out on the Beef and Guinness pie!!!!!!

Deserts were well presented and ohh so tasty too.

It was my Sis in Laws birthday during our stay and a table with streamers and balloons as well as sparklers on her deserts marked the occasion well. Many Thanks Christy :-)

Complements to all the Folks at the Guinness Tavern- a must place to visit!!!!

“Amazing to say the least!!!”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

The Guinness Tavern surpassed my expectations. The quality, both food and staff, was second to none. It's no surprise that they are number one with their homemade menu being exactly that, Homemade. I was definitely impressed and would recommend the Guinness Tavern to anyone who visits Salou. Chicken Satay and Homemade Bannoffee Pie merits a mention!!!:)

“Delicious Food.”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

This place is lovely. Usual story though...we found it on our last night in Salou....why not our first night!!!!
Menu was exactly what we wanted. Loads of choice. Breaded mushrooms, garlic dip, chicken tenders etc. for starters. For main we had fillet steak. Two clean plates by the end of it.
Desert we had banoffee. Again, lovely.
There is also a wide selection of drinks available so I had a couple of beers during my meal.
We ate outside in lovely, chilled out surroundings. Very friendly staff. Owner nice fella and chats with everyone.
Go here and eat and enjoy yourself!

“Excellent!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

We ate at The Guinness Tavern just last night and enjoyed a beautiful meal with excellent service. Two from our group had the 'surf & turf' and it was cooked and presented to perfection. The chicken curry was gorgeous and the vegetable wraps absolutely beautiful. It's just a pity we didn't find this lovely place until our last night! Excellent on everything - definitely worth a visit.
