I have just had another stay at Sahara Sunset Club. This resort is even better than the last visit. The whole resort is very clean and tidy, friendly and relaxing.Lots to do nearby or just stay in the resort and relax, perfect.

Room Tip: Rooms in Royal Mirage are in a less noisy place.

Stayed for a week with friends through one of their Diamond point timeshare swaps, and was not disappointed. We were given a great apartment right next to the pool with a gate that led directly to the pool area from our private terrace. It wasn't refurbished, but we thought it was worth the sacrifice for the great location and, although the decor is a little tired, it's fine and we spent very little time indoors anyway. The location of the resort is great, just a few steps away from the beach.

Everywhere in the resort was spotlessly clean and the cleaners who looked after our apartment did a fantastic job, wish I could hire them at home! The pool was also kept spotless and I noticed that the lifeguard took care to realign all the sunbeds around the pool at the end of the day to keep the area tidy. Reception was very helpful with things like booking the gym and massages etc., although I did wonder why the gym was kept at such a high temp (24C with a box over the aircon control to prevent it from being changed). I was sweating within minutes of going on the treadmill, and not just from the exercise.

We loved the Casbah Cafe too, all the staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic, we didn't have a bad meal in the whole week. The fresh Carte D'or ice cream sold at the window is definitely worth a try. We also ate out in some amazing local restaurants - try the tasting menu at Toro (be sure to book and ask for one of the three tables overlooking the marina), and fantastic cocktails at Bar Ole.

We did wonder why there were so many kids there of school age when it wasn't the school holidays, but I guess that can't be helped by the management.

Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for the Garden block if you'd like to be by the pool, but this does mean you'll be in th...

I have returned from a weeks holiday at Sahara Sunset which we enjoyed very much. In the past we would have eaten in different restaurants every night but we were so impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly professional staff that we ate there for every night of our holiday

Another brilliant stay at the Sahara Sunset. Friendly efficient checkin by Sara. All our emailed requests were met and a free welcome pack which is normally 18 Euros which was a lovely and welcome touch. We stayed in a 2 Bed Apartments at the Royal Oasis block which was on the ground floor with a large terrace excellent for sunbathing. I cannot fault this place hence my 3rd visit this year, excellent central location for exploring the costa del sol. Malaga and Mijas cannot be missed.

Arrived on 14/9 after an awful 4 hour transfer! Never book with travel republic! flight lands at 9.30am and then you have to sit on a coach and wait for every UK flight! Please get a taxi only takes 15/20 minutes and costs about 27 euros.

Check in was great got a glass of sangria on arrival, check in was quick, when arriving the man told me we had been put in a non refurbished basic room however as we had booked via diamond points which was a lot of points for 2 nights, I asked to be moved as non timeshare people were put in better apartments, immediately the manager who is english moved me straight away to a refurbished apartment, if you are timeshare please complain why should non timeshare who have paid about £100 a week be given a better apartment so if you are non timeshare do expect to be given a less better apartment however all still good.

Pool was great, however no sunbeds on sunday, towels were on them all day however no towel service was on offer this time usually when ive been before the lifeguard has took our towels off when going for lunch! This spoilt the day as couldn't get a sunbed at 10am!

Next day was fine, and lots of sunbeds, was very varied each day.

Apartment was a brand new apartment in the block closest to reception it overlooked the mini golf however was a brand new refurbished apartment, kitchen was great, room was a good size and living area was great, balcony was big also with 2 sunbeds and chairs and table. 10/10 for apartment

Staff are amazing always remember me every time i return, wifi was good also and worked in apartment 10/10

Location is great 6 euro taxi to marina where hundreds of restaurants to choose from

Overall sahara sunset is a great choice looks really nice prepared to the other hotel blocks around it!

Any questions please message me!
Thank you for another great stay see you next year :)

The Sahara Sunset resort has recently been refurbished and our accommodation was clean and tidy.
The maid service is excellent with fresh towels are plentiful.
The resort was quiet at night time and the location is near to the beach and local restaurants, pubs etc.
The only let down is the lack of second bathroom in the two bed apartments, which when you have your own separate bathrooms at home is a problem.
I realise there is no way that they can be altered due to the age and lack of space of the resort.
There is only one restaurant on site and adjoining bar, the pools are a good size the top pool is quiet and peaceful.
This resort is not the best in the Diamond group and our checkin was messy and disorganised, it was a Saturday in September, but preparation and planning for large groups arriving together needs organising.
If you have read any of my reviews you will see that I'm quite fussy and expect the highest of service and standards, which is why this only an average resort in my experience.

Room Tip: Try one at the top of the resort area G block

We have just returned from a weeks stay, fabulous! Immaculate resort with great facililties. We asked for a ground floor apartment as we took our 1 year old granddaughter and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the Royal Mirage building and although we had no view we had an amazing 'courtyard', our little one was safe to run around with no fear of escape, it was also away from the main noise of the evening entertainment, a very thoughtful location, thank you. The location is superb, we particularly enjoyed The Park de la Paloma and Selwoo Marina, both within 10 minutes walk, we visited the park several times. So many things to do here, the friendliness of the staff and the superb facilities mean we will definitely return.
