“Great staff....really make you feel welcome!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

We booked this as a girls weekend, 4 nights, great choice As it had everything we needed. it was near to the beach, 2 pools, and the casbah cafe had great food if you didn't want to eat out of resort but the staff made it for us! From check in to check out nothing was too much trouble...they are all hard working, friendly and cannot do enough for you.....please say hello to Amador and Ivan at the Casbah...legends!!!

Room Tip: We had a room over at the royal dunes away from the main pool/cafe area which was quieter.

I just couldn't say enough about this resort ! we stayed for one week on the 11th June, 2 adults 2 kids, 8 and 2 years old.We rented a two bed apartment in Royal Mirage which was very quiet, the apartment itself was airy and spacious and even though it wasn't an upgrade towards places we have stayed it was a palace ! The attention to detail was amazing ! the bottled water, tea, coffee, and milk on arrival, there's an iron and ironing board, toaster, microwave, basically everything you need ! even the cutlery was of very high standard ! two flat screens with a DVD player, an I Pod dock in each room ! the Casbah has very good quality food, we didn't find it expensive, same price as strip ! try the New Yorker Burger ( salivating here! ), reception staff very helpful, we didn't need them much as everything is to hand, pool very clean with good quality bed ! there's an indoor heated pool which has a play pen at the side so you could put your little 'Un in there while you have a swim ! The fellow guest were the nicest i've met, very friendly and got great entertainment out of our Toddlers poolside tanrums ! all in all a fabulous resort and we cannot wait to return again ! would highly recommend for families !!

Room Tip: The Royal Mirage B2 doesn't get the sun on the balcony until afternoon, it didnt bother us and l...

Well, here we are again. Back to Sahara Sunset and another good stay. The 2 bed apartment was of a high standard with a good spec. No washing machine or dishwasher but not a problem, we sorted it. We went for the half board option it's gone up a little but still good value. The most annoying thing is still no free wifi. I know I mention this every time, and I know DRI will comment below about how it's a member resort and blah, blah costs on management fees but I drove past a bus in Stafford today and it said free wifi on THIS BUS! If it costs an extra 2p a year to get it then go for it! Sitting on the computer a lady asked me "is that free?" I asked if she was a member and she said no so guess what I said... but apart from that all was good. The pool is better without the silly plinth in the middle, and the roof top Jacuzzis are ace!

We are a family of five, with three daughters who are 11,8 and 6 and found this resort to be really child friendly. The facilities on site include 2 outdoor pools,a small splash pool for toddlers,an indoor pool with jacuzzi, roof top terraces with hot tubs and sunbeds, table tennis and mini golf . We visited this resort from the 25th May-8th June and were always able to find sunbeds and our girls used the kids club facilities with Miriam, the children's entertainer who our girls loved!
Special thanks to Miriam and also Daniel as they were very friendly and we enjoyed our Malaga excursion with them and they were a big hit with our children-Emily,Amber and Ruby say hi !

This resort is very central and there is a good bus and train service which we used to get around so by all means a car is not necessary. We had lovely days out at the Crocodile park in Torremolinos, the Migas water park, the bioparc in Fuengirola,Malaga,Gibraltar and at Selow marina.
The resort is very close to Paloma park which is lovely to walk around, feed the ducks, see the chickens, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs and has nice play parks and lots of space to run round in and have a picnic.
This hotel is just across the road from the seafront, and there are plenty of restaurants to eat at and only a short walk straight to the marina.
Our family had a lovely holiday here, staff are friendly and helpful and the apartments are clean with cosy and comfortable beds!
We've only been home for a day and already want to return!!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in Royal gardens G2,which is a newly refurbished apartment and has a washing machine which...

I had to give a review of this resort as we were very impressed.
First of all yes this is a timeshare resort but we got it through our timeshare and RCI,however you can book this resort through normal site like Travel Republic,booking.com etc and you do not have to listen to timeshare presentation just say no and its no problem.
Outside of our home resort which is in Mexico we have to say this is the best resort we have styed at up till now,
The facilitys are very good 2 pools and a childs pool outside plus an indoor pool and jacuzi.fitness centre all sorts of entertainment but don't know if this happens in quieter times.
There is a resturant/bar/cafe with a decent menu if a bit pricey.
However the best is the room,we had a 1 bed appartment just above the 2nd pool and it was very good, large living room with patio doors, smaller but good bedroom with 2 comfortable single beds and again patio doors which meant we had a large lovely balcony with a table and 4 chairs for eating on and sunloungers plus a drying frame.the bathroom was large with your toilet, bidet, sink with large mirror above and of course your bath with shower above but with temperature controls very good.added to all this the unit was spotless and cleaned very well 3 times during 1 week with 2 towel changes and 1 linen change.
The familys with kids who we seen and talked to were very happy with the resorts facilitys for familys.
In season this resort will be great when it's warmer.

Room Tip: all seemed fine but only had experience of our room

I visit this resort for three weeks every year and I really enjoy it. All the family come for two of the weeks and they love it also.
This resort has two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, lots of entertainment during the day for adults and children. Some entertainment at night from the Casbar.
There is a mini supermarket on site also, and a crazy golf .
The apartments are lovely.

Room Tip: Set in the midst of restaurants, beach nice walks.

I agree with the positive comments made by others who visited this hotel in May and gave it a high rating. But the kitchen in our two bed six person apartment was only 4 sq metres and that is not enough room if you plan to largely do self catering for a group of four to six. The Hotel is in the process of making the kitchens bigger and so some apartments are presumably better serviced. So check on this before you arrive and make sure you get what you need.
Also, the hotel has limited parking in the street at the main entrance (a Benelmedena problem) and if you do bring a car the chances are you'll need to use street parking some minutes walk away. We stayed in May and I imagine the parking challenge just gets worse as the high season arrives.

Room Tip: Check the kitchen size. Also about half the rooms are in quieter areas away from the main pool.
