You cannot fault this hotel, everyone throughout the hotel is so friendly & helpful, the food is excellent such a variety, the rooms are cleaned & towels changed every day the hotel is spotless. It is so central to all parts of Benalmadena for trains or buses

Room Tip: Right hand side for sun in the morning, left side for evening sun.

We stopped one night at this hotel en route to Tarifa. Lovely room with a sea view for 90 E for both of us. It's very Brits Abroad - somewhere I normally avoid but was pleasantly surprised to find somewhere with a nice room, great bar service (with prices to match) and a good breakfast choice. The Spanish restaurant on the pavement by the beach was full of Spanish people eating Spanish food so we ate there and avoided "English" places. The food was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.

We stayed half board for a week and found this place ideal. Cross the round to the beach, bars & restaurants on the doorstep & 15-20 mins stroll to the marina. This is one of the best hotels in Benalmadena. Food, service & entertainment all excellent.

Room Tip: If you want afternoon sun ask for a room on the opposite side to the swimming pool.

We stayed here from 23th-30th Sept '12, it was our first visit and we were not disappointed.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpfull,Mickyla was lovely we wish her God's blessing also the
reception and maid service was excellent. Everywhere was very clean, beds were comfortable
and the bed sheets were changed twice and clean towels daily. Our room was no.322 on the side of the hotel with view of the sea, very quiet at night time.It was good to have a fridge in the room and free of charge. The bus service is very good with the bus stop a short distance away we travelled into Torremolinos a few times the shops are excellent. We visited Paloma Park and were very impressed how clean it was not a paper in sight with lovely bricked walkways. We found the food very good and would stay in this hotel again,we stayed last year in a much bigger hotel in Benalmadena and the Las Arenas is much better.

Room Tip: Room 322 on the south side very quiet

A nice centrally situated hotel with good friendly staff. Room was adequate with plenty of storage space. Bathroom was good with a powerful over bath shower and limitless amount of hot water. Restaurant staff were excellent, very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food was O.K. but not really upto 4 star standard as experienced in other places. The one down side to the hotel is the fact you get dropped off about 50 metres away at the nearsest bus stop which proved a little bit awkward for some people. Overall a pleasant hotel which I would rate as a 3+ not a 4*

Excellent hotel food, staff room very good, has a lot of repeat customers. Central location bit of a walk to marina but flat along promenade. Try out park 5-6 min walk behind hotel, well laid out large ponds with swans, ducks, geese, terapins. Fancy hens with chicks, rabbits, emu, deer, goats, plenty to see and feed great for kids.

Room Tip: Ask for room on higher floor ones on lower level not much of a view, A few rooms on front of hotel...

We stayed here from 6th - 20th September. The room (217) was very nice - TV (lots of channels), free fridge, nice beds and bedding, nice bathroom and towels. Air con could have been better it needed to be on all the time. The maid service was excellent, our room was ready at 12 when we arrived and was always cleaned when we came back every day. The staff were very friendly.

The entertainment was geared to older people at 60 most of it was too old for us!!! One person we did like was Peng who sang soul and motown. The bar was good with reasonably priced drinks with good choice and good service.

We did not like the food, the choice is very limited and the quality not very good. Breakfast was not too bad except for the inedible cornflakes, we do not eat cooked breakfast so do not know what that was like. In the evening they only had 2 vegetables and mostly only chips or wedges. We had salad every night with chips and pizza or cheese as the meat and fish was of poor quality and often dry/overcooked.

Overall the hotel does not seem to match the standard or have the facilities of other 4 star hotels we have been to in Spain and we would suggest that 3 star is more appropriate.

Benalmadena is very tatty, lots of empty shops and bars, lots of dogs mess everywhere, the busy main road and narrow paths are not too good. The marina is showing its age and could benefit from a refurbishment but there is a very good restaurant there called Pinocchio.

It is easy to get about, we walked a lot but there are lots of buses to Torremolinos and Fuengirola. We went on the train to Malage which is lovely, we also went to Mijas on the bus - you have to go a couple of stops back from the hotel as the bus does not go past the hotel. We went to Marbella on the bus but it was a nightmare journey both ways. On arrival in Marbella it stops at the bus station which is a long way from the seafront so we came back on the bus to Fuengirola which can be boarded in the town but it stops very frequently and in the end it took us nearly 3 hours to get back. We went on a trip to Gibraltar (the quick one) it costs 15euros.

There is a lovely cafe in Torremolinos called Cafe Fresco they do great food, it is slightly back from the beach near where the path juts out.

The weather was really hot and very humid.

Room Tip: Don't have a seaview room as they suffer from excessive noise from the dual carriageway immediat...
