“Very Niiice!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Stayed at this hotel from Aug 15-22 2013.

Location was excellent, right next to the beach. Everything we wanted to do was a short walk or bus trip away; Malaga Town, Puerto Marina, Selwo Dolphinarium and Paloma Parque. The last two I would definitely recommend visiting.

Room was had everything we needed in it. Nice colors and modern look. Only downside was paying €3 per mining for the fridge. Hotel looked amazing after its refurb. Breakfast and dinners were very good. Different choice every night for main meals, especially enjoyed the Tapas Corner. Very clean and tidy hotel in general.

Staff were always very friendly, a good job from the two events coordinators, getting people to join in on the sports and activities. The Thomson rep was very knowledgable of the area and always had a good suggestions.

Evening entertainment was good. A quiz and riddle to get the evening started, followed by acts, musicians, magicians and comic acts.
The only strange thing was, there were different themes for every night, but this always seemed to involve the same musician every night. Playing the same songs on repeat.

Overall a very nice hotel. Would definetly return and would recommend.

A group of four of us stayed at this hotel in August, we booked through First Choice and the hotel was advertised as Adults Only. Once there it was actually a Couples Hotel although there were lots of goups other than couples staying and this did not affect us in any way. On arrival the reception area was light, airy and modern. We were dealt with quickly and efficiently by very pleasant staff.
The rooms were modern and recently refurbished, the one disadvantage was the colour scheme which was grey, however there was a hospitality tray with good supplies of tea, coffee and milk etc. which was a pleasant surprise. Although 3 adults were sharing one of the rooms this did not make a difference as the extra bed that had been put in the room was a normal singel size and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with two wash hand basins and a shower that was the width of the room. There was a TV and we could get most of the channels that we would get here in the UK.
The restaurant was lovely again large and airy, all glass windows which made it apprear that you could be on a ship as you looked right out on the sea. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the food was excellent with a very wide choice.
There was entertainment every night which was very professional. While we were there we had the pleasure of listening to the Switch, these were a resident duo that played swing, jazz and all popular music, they were very good.
We did not use the pool so I cannot really comment on it, as the beach was so very close we spent most of our time there,
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The fact that it is adults only/couples should not put anyone off as there were all age groups staying there.

We went back to this hotel after its refit , the bedrooms were great ,far better than before massive queen beds which were lovely , felt the colours in the rooms were a bit gloomy , who needs grey !! When we live in grey England , The new Sunbeds are very uncomfortable sharp edges and black also the bird pooh gets stuck in them , you had to pay for fridges and the Spa !! Well could not work that one out !! Apparently you get one free session then it's 10 euros for an hour , where as before you could use indoor pool for free , I only used my free session but decided the 10 euros was to much ! Much to my surprise some other residents had been using twice daily but they did not get charged !! This needs making clear ,.

The Staff especially Fernando and Francisco where absolutely Brilliant they do a great job .
The food has not changed much to many stews , curries , the Lady doing the breakfast omelettes was great lovely smile always happy , all in all I like some of it but I think it's lost some of its charm I know we have to move on , but sometimes the old ways win through . But this Hotel will always be the best place we have stayed

Stayed in the Riviera for 1 week in June,we upgraded to a sea view room and we weren't disappointed it had the biggest and most comfortable bed I've ever seen, the bathroom had everything you would expect of a modern 4*hotel.There was Tea/coffee making facilities in the room also .In the dining room there was never a wait for a table and the food was excellent especially the Tapas Bar there was always a good selection and unlike the early reviews we had read the food was always hot.Probably the only let down was the entertainment which was average to say the least

Room Tip: Upgrade to a sea view its well worth it,if you are wanting an afternoon snack visit the last resort...

Stayed here for 1 week in July with my boyfriend. We are in our 20s. The hotel was bright and modern. It was lovely! The pool is small but there is rarely anyone in it so it was great for us as we spent alot of time in it.

Food was lovely! Great selection and the show cooking and tapas is lovely! The beds are HUGE! and very comfy :) Shower is great as it is also very big! Much better then a bath in the room!

Entertainment was not good at all but I think that is because they try to aim it at older people so there wasn't much for us to do in the hotel. The marina is only 5 mins away though so we just went there and had some really good nights!

The hotel overall is very quiet and pretty dead so I would not recommend it for young couples. There is not even any music at the pool which made us kind of feel like we had to whisper! Mainly English people and one of the reps told us that we were the first Irish that she had ever met in that hotel!

But would be great for older people looking for a quiet relaxing break!

We did enjoy our stay and we thought that the staff were very helpful!

My Wife and I stayed here from 4th August to 11th August for our Anniversary and i must say the Hotel Refurbishment has made a massive difference-Although the rooms were a little dated 3 yrs ago they are really modern now and the Air Conditioning is fantastic as was the Wet Room and his & hers sinks-The staff are really helpful and polite and the pool area is very clean and it IS easy to get a sunbed-The wellness centre situated next to the restaurant is brilliant comprising Steam room/Sauna/Jacuzzi and a small Pool and a massage if you require one(Charges Apply for Massage) but once again as in my review of 3 yrs ago the BIG winner in this hotel is the Food-It is Awesome--Please dont be put off by any negative reviews of this hotel (not that there are many) as it is Fantastic in every way and we shall definately be returning.

Having recently been redecorated you are impressed from the moment you walk into the reception. Rooms definitely do not disappoint either very clean and comfy beds with massive showers.
Pool is clean and has lovely views over the beach. No rubber rings allowed though which is heavily enforced.
Food- breakfast offers everything from porridge to fritters and fruit to a full English. The morning cava is also a major plus. This makes getting up much easier!
Dinner also offers many options and changes each day in some way or another. Chicken, fish beef, vegetarian, pasta, soups, tapas all offered each day plus many more.
Entertainment is good but is a little bland and placid for those looking for a laugh and a lively time. The marina is only five minutes along the road though which does offer a lively atmosphere and different things to do.
Overall this hotel is excellent for couples looking for a romantic time away both young and old.
