Yes.. the hill could be a problem, unless like me you have a strong man dragging you up...which he did after several nights at Cocos, bottom of hill turn left...for 3 mins...i would strongly recommend the Irish coffee. Other than that the local beer is cheap. The hotel was lovely, didn't eat there (self catering) Good supermarket (go via the indoor poo or the football pitch ) 5 mins away, no hill to mount)
Very good/ polite staff, reception staff will sort out and help with any problems. The evening entertainment was a little like a working man's club...bingo, quiz's, childrens stuff, more geared up for families. Also the drinks very expensive if you weren't all inclusive.
Went to the butterfly park / buddhist temple, way way up the hill, need a bus from nr the railway station, lovely day out and the views were amazing, also worthwhile was the trip to Gibraltar. Like little England!! Long trip but worth it. Lots of English restaurants on beach front (if you want to go for English!!) not too many Spanish ones, struggled to find a Paella, which seems hard to believe in 'Spain'!!! Good indoor pool, also gym, sauna and jacuzi, outdoor pool was freezing but we did venture in but only till our bodies were numb.
We had a one bed apartment up in the roof somewhere, it had two balconies BUT both were not your normal balconies, we sat there and looked at brick walls, but.........if you stood up you did get a good view of the sea. We used one for morning and one for afternoon, wherever the sun was. We did get used to the brick walls, upside to this was no-one could see us !!!! Good hotel for families.

Room Tip: Overlooking pool gives you a sea view...front of hotel gives you a mountain view

Stayed here for 5 days in November and have no bad word to say. Although the hotel probably doesnt warrent a 4* but for the location and the type of clientel i suppose it's suffice. Beach is right next door and has free parking although limited so you will have to park in the payable car park or streets outside which are free. One presumes it will be far more difficult in the summer. Breakfast was plentiful and runs till 11 did not dine any other time. Staff friendly and helpfull. Not no addequate bedding for winter, just a sheet with additional dusty blankets. Free wifi also. Overall a great bargain for the price.

Room Tip: High as possible

Hotel was clean, food was very good! Only exception being that as we were all inclusive the lunch menu was limited, we could only have pizza/hot dog/hamburger and chips. Not what I would like to eat for my lunch, but the quality of food was very good. Bedrooms are a bit tired looking and could do with a refurbishment. Staff were very helpfull and polite at all times. Life guard on duty at the pool at all times and very alert. Location of hotel was ideal.

We returned from our last minute all inclusive Spanish holiday to the damp, wet UK 2 weeks ago.
The hotel was approx 10-15 minutes from the airport.
Hotel was within walking distance of the beach, not suitable for everyone as there was a steep hill up to the hotel, access could be gained via a garage. The facilities at the hotel were all of very good qualityindoor and outdoor pools, gym, beauty area. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Towels for the pool were available for a small returnable fee of 10 euros.
The room was good, clean linen most days, shower and toilet very good and clean.
The highlight of the holiday was the food, what a choice at breakfast and evening meal, I think there must have been something for everyone; hot and cold. Occasionally the hot food was not piping hot but this did not spoil the taste, cooked breakfast was fabulous. The choice of food at lunchtime for all inclusuive wasn't as good but I didn't really eat alot at lunchtime after the cooked breakfast!
Weather was lovely for 6 days out of 7, the last day it rained all day and we left in a thunder storm.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our last minute holiday and we would recommend the hotel to anyone and may well return in the future which we don't often say after a holiday.

Room Tip: We requested a quiet room which meant that the view was to the back of the hotel, I would ask for a...

Hotel location & facilities were great. However the food was a bit of an issue as the evening meals were luke warm at best. The majority of the staff are rude & unhelpful they also have a problem with light fingered maids. I did tell the hotel manager that my purse had been emptied understanding i was at fault for not putting my purse in the safe but I had only left the my bag on the side while I went to get my son from the pool & when i returned the room had been serviced & my purse emptied of 25 euros! As it was the day before we checked out the manager said he would e-mail me, I am still waiting (just as well I didn't hold my breath) A real shame as this could be a great hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room over looking the pool which was the best position as the rooms at the front of the hot...

Me and my husband stayed for 2 weeks at the end of Sept. The first couple of days were really disappointing. The first room we were given had a balcony jutting out into the snack bar. It was like sitting at someone's table! The second room we were given faced the road. It was very dark, dingy and small and we had to have the light on even in the day. For about 4 hours we darent leave the room as it was so insecure. The balcony jutted out onto the road and someone could easily get in. The balcony door wouldnt lock and the security grill had no key. Also, we paid to use the safe but it wouldnt work. We asked for help several times to no avail, until a really helpful bloke came on reception. He sorted the safe out and found a key for the grill but it still felt insecure. We were going to stick with it but my husband felt it was ruining his holiday, so we asked for another move. Third time lucky as the room was bigger and brighter with a lovely view.
Once we had settled down we had a really lovely time. Benalmadena is hard to fault. The beaches and the harbour are lovely. Fuertaventura and Torrelominas are both nearby (one either side) and Torremolinas especially is well worth a visit. The local buses are cheap and regular. Also, the open top tourist bus is good value if you want to see everything and hop on and off all day. We spent a very pleasant day in the park with the chickens, and also a lovely day on the cablecars, with the bird of prey display at the top. The old town was lovely, but one day visit was enough as its basically made up of one main square. We did get a taxi there at night though, and had a fabulous meal at one of the restaurants in the square. All in all it we will definately come back to the area. The hotel was ok, but it was quite a walk to the harbour, and it would be nice to be a bit closer. I have to say though that the staff were very accomodating, and we would use it again if we could guarentee a nice room. I can see now why some of the reviews are a bit mixed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back. Off the road.

i stayed at the hotel in october for week and had an amaazing time, so much so that im hoping to go back in february. the weather was really hot and there was plenty of facilities just within the hotel for things to do. it was only about 5 mintues away from the beach which was lovely and the water was so warm we were in it everyday. had no problems with the food what so ever, there was a great selection and i enjoyed every meal. every balcony seems to have a great view and the hill that people say was a down side isnt even that bad once you've been up it a couple times, i wouldnt let that stop you from coming. the night entertainment was great for the kids and for adults aswell. all the staff were lovely, and a special thankyou to simon and the bar staff for being so friendly and helping us have a brill holiday. cant wait to go back!

Room Tip: ask for a balcony over looking the pool, you'll get full sun for most of the day.
