It was more or less as I expected. The hotel was pretty crowded so the facilities were fairly stretched. Two of us (men) shared an apartment. I took the sofa bed in the living room. The apartment could be described as adequate for two but would be overcrowded for three. It consisted of a very small kitchen (only one at a time). A living room with sofa bed, table and TV (Irish and English channels). A bathroom with a very good shower and a broom cupboard with safe (payable). A terrace with table and chairs afforded a view of the sea. All pretty standard.
The food was less than average quality (sausages for breakfast were the hard frankfurter type). At 10 euros it was best avoided. The restaurant was similar. We tried a few restaurants in the area and were likewise disappointed. I cooked my own breakfast with food bought in Supercor up the hill to the left.
The drink prices were expensive. Beer was San Miguel. Spirits were better value; if you tip they tend to give a bigger measure. The entertainment was good and bad. The Abba girls were outstanding.
There were 3 pools and the middle one seemed a bit warmer. There was no difficulty in September for loungers.
The staff were friendly and helpfulMore
