Stayed here for 3 nights mid June. Hotel was nice with lots of facilities, nice food and clean, well sized rooms. Check in was quick and efficient. Location was a fair distance from the main attractions of Benalmadena but there was a convenient taxi rank situated just outside the reception area so no issues getting around.

Our only real gripe (which sadly is a big one) and the reason that I have not scored top marks is that the pool area does not open until 10am. The reason is supposedly to prevent people 'reserving' sun loungers but why not just remove towels to a designated collection area if they are left on loungers for too long? Several of us on the trip are mothers and are used to being up early (6-7am). This left us with a minimum 3 hour wait for the pool! I love an early swim. This policy also means that parents are hanging around with their children for hours in the morning, waiting for something to do, then ultimately they are bringing their little ones to the pool as the sun is hitting its peak! I think it is a poorly thought out policy that penalises those who want to make the most of their day whilst pandering to those who want to lie in. There are many other effective ways of eliminating lounger hogging as demonstrated by many other hotels, and for the record the policy didn't stop the issue as many loungers still lay with just towels on them anyway. Shame really.

short visit but was looked after really well. room /apart was nice asked for double got 2 singles but not a deal breaker. staff are good and they get busy but still have time to sort out your enquiry. wi-fi is good on the 6th floor and ok in other spots. breakfast is good, full irish or continental. All in all a good value for money hotel, great staff, good pools, clean rooms and location good. if back in this area would book this hotel.

Just back from a holiday with friends at Sunset Beach club. The Hotel is amazing and rooms are very clean. There are 2 single beds and a couch which folds out into a double so you can comfortably fit 4 people in. Even though I went with friends I was so impressed that I am planning to book a family holiday to this hotel next year. There is so much room at the pools that we never had a problem finding a sun lounger. They had two large pools and a childrens pool attached to one of them there is a bridge which seperates the two pools so one side was essentially for adult groups as it was a deep pool and the other side of the bridge was where all the families sat as that is where the kids entertainment and playground was. The supermarket on the first floor has everything you need for self catering and if you were planning a relaxing family holiday this is the place to go because you never need to leave the complex.

Room Tip: Ask for a Sea view room. Fifth floor is a good choice it has a bar and a children's arcade on it...

Have just returned from spending a week @ Sunset Beach Club.....totalling relaxing holiday.
The hotel is situated on the beach front and is very clean and the staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable.Within 5 mins of arrival we were checked in and on our way to our room.
The room was quite spacious with a fully equipped kitchen area for us to avail of.There is a seperate bedroom(2 single beds and chest of drawers+ bedside locker),and in the living area,a dining table and chairs are provided, with a sofa bed and TV. A walk-in wardrobe which incorporates the safe and ironing board,is also quite spacious.Maids come around daily, cleaning the rooms and leaving fresh towels.
There are 3 pools,1 of which is a kiddies, adequate numbers of sunbeds and a poolside bar which serves tasty food daily.Plenty of activities are available, all divided into 3 categories-Kids/Teens/Adults.And entertainment is provided nightly in the "Moonlight Room".The entertainment was of a decent standard(Adele + Katy Perry tribute acts being among the variety). My only fault here was their constant use of flashing lights before and during shows, not great for a migraine sufferer like myself.
There's a supermarket on site, but just across the road is a much cheaper store,DIA.
There's a bus stop outside that will take you into Torremolinos to avail of the many shops there, for just Euro 1.50,although the shops in Benalmadena are just a 15 min stroll away, although i preferred Torremolinos because of the more variety.
All things considered,we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend S.B.C as a great place to stay. Will i be going back in future?...most definitely!!

Room Tip: Exterior rooms on a higher floor are more beneficial.

Just back from a 4 day stag where we stayed in Sunset Beach for the 4 nights.

The service, the staff, the location and how the hotel managed our requests was outstanding. There was 16 of us in total and they put us in 5 rooms on the same corridor so that we wouldnt disturb others and vice versa.

The hotel recption recieved us very warmly, rooms were made up early as I had specially requested, and the lady spoke fluent english and as I mentioned was warm and welcomming.

The bar at the pool serves decent food and Carling and San Migel on Draft. Drink prices borderline expensive for the area but to be expected I suppose. 2 life guards on duty at the pool also which is reassuring.

Supermarket in the basement was outstanding and I could see why many young familes would choose the place, it was ideal really.

Hotel backs onto the beach which is very handy also.

Only downside, and this is just a very small down side, there are only 3 small lifts that were always in use. We made use of the stairs but if you were not in the position to do so you could be waiting awhile to be picked up.

But I must clarify, this hotel is more than a hotel, you could easly stay here for a week or two and not have to leave. Its an "all under one roof" job...

Room Tip: Ask for Sea view from 6th floor up...

My husband and I stayed there in May 2014, having stayed there the previous year as well. The rooms are well equipped for self catering although we ate out most of the time. The restaurant on the first floor served lovely food with the bonus of an entertainer each evening. If we wanted to go out to eat there were plenty of nice restaurants not too far away. Good shows in the show bar (The Jersey Boys tribute is particularly good). We'll definitely be back again next year.

Room Tip: Inside rooms overlook the pool area and the Med.
