The Hotel Balmoral is basic but it is very good value for money. My hotel room was very clean and comfortable with a nice balcony and very comfortable bed. The bathroom towels had reached the end of their life-span however! Breakfast is pretty basic - but you wont go hungry. The hotel is in a very good location in Benalmadena - pity about all the bins on the street outside the hotel - but this is obviously outside of the hotel's control.

hotel very poor cleanliness poor to the extent that we had towels in the bathroom with chewing gum and matted hair stuck to them cant beleive cleaning lady did not notice this. breakfast was fine the evening meal was bad.
Shower in room was a trickle.

Room Tip: if you do stay in this hotel ask for a high floor.

Hotel clean.food quite good . Beds comfy. Staff nice. Room good size and clean.hotel location good , close to local bus stop , just across road from hotel . And sea front across the road. We stayed for a week in September , weather wes hot all week . Air con in the room was great ,
Plenty of bars and places to eat out. Buzbys Bar at top of the road is a great night out , we went there all week , only bar we could find with good entertainment on .
Would use this hotel again

This is cheap and cheerful.excellent central location for Benalmadena.50 metres to the beach and very close to popular restaurants. The rooms are functional and very clean. This is mainly used by senior citizens. If you can get a sea view room, even better. For those on a tight budget, this is a god deal.

Two week stay with friends on half board, hotel well located, rooms spotless - shower constant powerful hot water (result), food fine! choice of lunch or evening meal, hotel staff friendly, pool area a little
tired, but kept clean and tidy but spent most of our time there! would stay at Balmoral again no
problem for the price can't fault it.

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of September and we would rate our stay as very average. There is nothing special about the Balmoral, the downstairs communal areas are in desperate need of modernisation. The route from the main road around the corner to the hotel entrance is littered full of smelly bins. We know this is beyond the hotel’s control as they belong to the restaurants on the front but in the heat the smell was rather unbearable. Even on the side of the hotel (opposite side to the pool), this area was full of hotel bins, skips and the tarmac was disgusting, this was the view down from our balcony, a bin shed would be a suitable solution to this issue.
Our room was good, cleaned to an acceptable standard. There is air con in the room, you need to pay a €20 refundable deposit for the remote control.
The breakfast was rather uninspiring and we struggled to find anything tasty. The eggs were cooked to the point where they tasted like rubber (I’m sure they would bounce) and you are seated on plastic chairs. We only ate in there twice, I dread to think what the evening meals are like. We would recommend the Panda Restaurant on the seafront at the end of the promenade for breakfast, the setting is wonderful and the food is delicious.
We usually stay at the Las Arenas but we booked a last minute break and it seemed they were full and so thought we would try the Balmoral as it is a similar location. We won’t be returning, it just wasn’t for us.

For a 2 star hotel,it was excellent.
Rooms were of a high standard, better then some 4 star hotels that i have stayed in!!
Clean and very modern. Flat screen tv`s and remote air con.
Free internet in reception area.
Only let down was the food, was of a very low quality.....really.
Try and have BB only.
But never mind as there were restaurants galore just outside.
Beach is just across the road.
And if you really need to have a Mac Donald's.... its about 50 yards from the hotel :)
Would i stay here again?......Yes. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view......you also get a sea view if you are on a high floor.
