“Tuesday is any pizza for 5E night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

Went last night to take them up on their 'any pizza for 5E Tuesday'. Ordered two and two drinks. The front of house lady was friendly and welcoming but shame we couldn't say the same for the rest of the waiters.

Pizzas were OK and presume they are this price so they can upsell with extras but as the desserts cost more than the pizzas we didn't have one.

The situation of this restaurant right at the Benalmadena end of the harbour seems a little more upmarket than some of the other areas we have seen and is next door to 'Da Fano' restaurant which we enjoyed more and the drinks were less expensive.

“Good food, well looked after”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

This is a comfortable restaurant. You are not rushed, but attentive, friendly staff serve good Italian food cheerfully. The onion soup and Fried Provolone starters are good. The salads enormous. The main courses, especially, for me, the prawns wrapped in sole fillets, very tasty. Excellent value, we go often.

“Good location, food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

We went as we had a Groupon offer otherwise would never have discovered the restaurant as slightly away ( 100 mtrs ) from the harbour mall which is full of options.
Sunday afternoon late and it was not very busy so we had an excellent table on the terrace. Our menu was pre-set by the offer and it was really great value. Salad to share and then I chose the Spaghetti Frutas del Mar, my wife the Fungi with Tagliatelle. Good portions, my spaghetti was perfect, loads of prawns and other shell fish.
Service was good, attentive but not intrusive, really liked the detail of the Mini-Magnum ice cream as we left.

“Not so good the second time round!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

During our 4 night stay we visited this restaurant twice, the first night we both enjoyed pork meals, the service was excellent, friendly staff and a good choice of dishes on the menu. However, on our second visit we ordered carbonara and lasagna, both of which were bland.

Probably would not return on our next visit to Benalmadena.

“Lasagne poor for an Italian Restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2012

Tried this restaurant as we were impressed with the warm welcome when viewing the menu and its relatively nice setting. Service was very good although at times a bit overkill with a waiter topping up the wine to be followed 30 seconds later by a different one. Personally I found the list of starters poor and overpriced. My wife had a pasta dish which was very good, I had roast chicken but was disappointed to see that it was covered in gravy, perhaps because it was dry and my daughter had the lasagne which was extremely poor, very stodgy, overcooked and lacked taste.
If you do decide to try this restaurant I would be tempted to stay clear of the lasagne and chicken and plump for a pasta dish.
