When we arrived guests were all complaining, we did not let this or the weather spoil our holiday, but I did feel there was a need to highlight the terms of the all inclusive as the package is rather limited by the end of the season even though it was half term.

This hotel advertises the all inclusive facilities of the 4 hotels and beach park in a way that make it appear a very comprehensive all inclusive package. There is a lot there, but in terms of value for money it can prove poor.

I can see in the summer that there are a variety of restaurants to eat in, the sports clubs for the older children great, but as the season winds down from September the package offers a lot less and the brochure prices do not explain this.

In the summer there are 3 restaurants to pick from. By November it is just one in the hotel as the pool bar and beach club restaurant are closed. You can get a packed luch, but it will be taken off you at the beach club even though it is the same management who are telling you it is all inclusive.

The water park is for primary aged children. The rings are slow and only open for 3 hours a day 3 days a week off season. Half of this conflicts with lunch which is provided back at the top of the hill, so it you want to get full value from the rings you need to buy lunch there.

There is a swimming pool in the hotel and it is on the chilly side, we took wet suits and they did not mind. However it is only open to children past 4pm. On wet days they did let them in, but you also risked getting there to find they were not allowed. Not practical for a 3 and 6 year old to understand.

The soft play is within the kids club, open 11-2 and 3-6. The kids disco started at 9.30pm. The entertainments staff tried very hard and made a good decision to leave the kids club area open all day under parental supervision when it was wet. The children had to be 4 to use the facility so this could prove difficult if you take a 3 year old.

The facilities existed at the other hotels, but you needed to pay for them. You would be better in a more central location with a wider range of facilities that in this remote location with only what the sister hotels provide.

Food was edible, but you could see that leftovers were recycled, which would have worried be in warmer weather. You could find things to eat, but it was often hard to put a meal together. Chilli con carne was available, but rice was on the salad counter and mixed with crab sticks..... Hamburger curry was another surprise!

Poeple asked to speak to the management but were told that there was no-one there as the hotel was about to close. The reception staff were helpful. I explained how it was presented in the brochures in the UK and they said after 4 years with reps in the resort the companies should be advertising it differently. Fair point. However, the TV station run by the hotel was also vague as was the internal literature.

Kids club totally free, needed to have somewhere ages and if all inclusive. For those on half board the facility cost as did the use of the pool. I would expect free use of a poll on booking a room.

Self catering would have been a challenge without a car. milk and eggs were lacking from the highly priced hotel shop. a return trip to a supermarket would have taken most the morning given the buses every 30 mins and a shuttle to the bus stop. The kitchen was suited to cooking lunchtime snacks rather than a family meal. The bathroom was far bigger than the kitchen.

Had the hotels acted more like a true complex the management could have delighted with enough people to support evens, however they seemed to be penny pinching and fell short of expectations.

I've never tried a family focused kids hotel and would not go back, but other families just rated other all inclusive deals they had been on as offering far better value for money at the end of the season.

Room Tip: No issues with the room, but the corridor to the dino theme rooms scared my kids rather than excited them.

We went (4 ladies) to chill out and celebrate our 40th Birthdays. We knew this hotel was out of town, but were okay with this as had went all inclusive so expected entertainment and nice food. We only stayed for 4 nights and were severely dissapointed with the hotel. The hotel I would say should be 2 * .It lacks atmosphere, the entertainment was appalling. The pool bar was closed in the evening, yet in September it was still warm, therefore we did not want to sit inside, we went over to the hotel opposite, which is the same hotel group, they had entertainment outside and the bar was open, yet we would have to pay for our drinks even though we were all inclusive. Considering our hotel had no evening entertainment outside, we should have been allowed, I can understand in the peak times not being able to use either hotel, but during quiet times this should be allowed especially when they are cutting back on the entertainment in the hotel.

As for the restaurant, where do I start. The food is not nice, it is luke warm, the choice is poor and if you are all inclusive and want a snack, don't bother unless you want cold rubber burgers, over fired chicken nuggets, greasy chips and brick hard pizza.

In addition to this we complained about cigarette ends on the tiles at the side of the pool, this was at 10am on the 1st morning, well guess what they were still there by day 4 !!! Whilst those who dropped their cigarettes end there should not have, the hotel should have at least cleaned the tiles daily.

I would not return and would definitely not recommend.

We stayed here from 24th to 30th October 2012 with 3 kids. We arrived late and the manager was quick to get us into the restaurant which was closing soon to eat before bed leaving the paperwork until afterwards which we really appreciated. Generally the staff were very helpful, lovely and professional and engaged with the kids. The room on the first floor was a decent size with a sofabed in one room, 2 double beds in another, a separate kitchen and a good sized bathroom. The room and hotel were clean and the beds made up every day and fresh towels brought in etc. There was a kids disco and entertainment up to about midnight which we didn't really bother with. The noise could be heard in the room so they could do with an extra door in the entrance or better soundproofing but it really didn't bother us too much and we had no problems sleeping. The beds were also quite comfortable. The food was good at breakfast with good selection of cereals, fried food and fruit. The dinner was reasonable but they would do better to cook some basic food to order to be more fresh. Many of the main dishes we avoided as they didn't look too appetising but generally you would find something decent to eat, soup, pizza, chips, salad bar, nice breads etc. The puddings were great with a great selection, the kids loved it, my wife disagrees! The beach club was costly for us at €20 per go and is misleading as looks like part of the hotel and the indoor pool cost €15 per day for an adult and €5 per child which is a rip off as should be free for all particularly as during our stay the weather wasn't great. I wouldn't slate the location as it is on the map so just check before you book and don't complain when it is far from the town or beach etc. duh. The huge river running through reception (tee hee) is about 1 foot deep and if you fell in (again from about a foot high fall you would get your socks a bit wet thats all so no need for barriers. The kids enjoyed running around over the bridges etc. Overall worth a visit but not sure if value for money. We were only half board but beach club and indoor pool should still be free or at least a bit cheaper. There was a bit of end of season feel.

Room Tip: Sound from entertainment can be heard on first floor.

nice enough hotel but far too isolated. 15 minute walk to bottom of hill where the water park can be found...not worth the effort. \bus stop also down here but buses didnt always stp for us so we had to re ly on taxis at £13 a time unless you fancied the hour and a half walk into town. Back to the hotel - the food was plentiful but was never warm , ended up heating all our meals in the micro. The entertainment was ghastly , some woman singing along to pre recorded music. This is not my idea of a for star hotel and would NEVER recommend it to my worst enemy. p.s i didnt go on holiday to watch tele but with nothing else to do watching CNN is not my idea of "satellite tv"
