I arrived in Palau from Olbia late in the evening and the stuff was very welcoming and charming especially Giovanni who really helped me settle in even for the late hour
The hotel is beautiful and the view in the morning is just breathtaking. The breakfast is also very satisfying and tasty. the room is big and has all the things I needed for a perfect vacation, absolutely a place to return to!

Very nice hotel in a very nice place, it definitely has its own special atmoshpere. Our room was not new, the one with a tiny and not the most comfortable bathroom, but clean and cozy, and I am sure the one with the best view over the sea and archipelago (and, moreover, very private) - room nr 238.
Of course, the restoran and service is the strongest part of the hotel. Thank You, guys!
All in all, it was a fantastic time!

Our room overlooked the pool with a view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfasts great. It was a bit confusing at first when we ate in the restaurant one evening, because we did not understand the 1/2 board concept as people simply received food without ordering (they order at breakfast and the tables are pre-assigned). However, the maitre d', Vinenzio, personally took our order and then proceeded to cook our meals table side with flare and great humor. Made it a very special evening. The pool was also nice to refresh after a day at the beach and/or excursion.

Room Tip: I would ask for a view, a little further from the pool if you retire early.

We visited Hotel Palau in June this year, our party consisted of two couples.

Upon arrival the hotel decor could be perceived as a little out dated however that didn't impact our stay as the stunning view from the restaurant was all you wanted to focus on.

Our rooms were spacious and clean with the additional bonus of being able to access the free wifi! The complementary bottle of prosecco on arrival went down a little too well :) .

We were always able to find free sun beds in the pool area and the free shuttle to the beach was a nice touch. Although be aware there is an additional charge for the use of the sun beds on the beach.

The town of Palau is easily accessible on foot and is only a 10 min walk away. Once in the town however the hotel is less accessible on foot (especially after a big dinner and a few glasses of wine!) as it is on top of a massive hill. For someone who would consider themselves fairly fit this was still a challenge. It was however still a lot easier to walk then try and get a taxi when you don't speak Italian.

The staff at the hotel were all pleasant and accommodating. The guys and girls on reception did everything they could to help. The restaurant staff were lovely and the guy with the American/Italian accent went out of his way to help us with the menu! Our stay was absolutely made for us by Giovanni in the bar, he was hilarious and went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic stay!

Make sure you take the boat trip offered by the hotel on the boat 'Fark' this is only for a maximum of 10 people and the captain really is amazing! The food he served was delicious and we were amazed by the places he took us!

All in all we had a lovely holiday and would definitely return.

The service is absolutely not up to a 4 star hotel. The air conditioning in our room was out of order; they did not try to fix it during one whole week. No excuse from the manager. The service at the restaurant was catastrophic, so long that we arrived at the buffet dessert when this one was closed (we arrived for dinner at opening time); once again no excuse from the "chef de rang", he was even able to charge the desserts we did not have.

Do not speak about the "entertainment" for kids ...
