This hotel is a true gem. Located in a small village in Saarland with a nice little lake next to it, it is a great starting point for walks or bike rides in the foresty surroundings.

The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are nicely furnished (excellent beds!), spotlessly clean although a bit on the small side.

Breakfast and dinner are simply delicious, with a massive buffet every morning, including bacon and eggs, freshly cut fruit, bubbles (yes!) and a large selection of meats and yoghurts. In the evenings it's high quality food, no schnitzels here but really fine dining. There was always the choice between fish, meat and vegetarian.

The wellness area isn't very big but enough for a few days: a swimming pool, a big jacuzzi, a bigger sauna area (beware: no swimming clothes allowed, so you have to go naked or wear the hotel bath robes) and the usual massages and solar cabines.

Only small disadvantage: not all of our rooms (we had four single rooms) had a fridge.

Highly, highly recommended. A spotless experience.

Good hotel, with nice rooms, and a good bar area. Breakfast was a good selection. The hotel is in its own grounds and a taxi ride away if you want to venture out at night, apart from that could not fault it.

The pool has a huge size but also open to the local communicty (pensionnaires, and swimm shcools are practising each day, as of 7:00 am. The jacuzzi next to it is giant, and allows to combine the swin with a diversified saune axperience

The hotel was great. It is set on the edge of a forest in an area of rolling hills, winding roads and across the street from a small lake. Enchanting. Lots of jogging/walking trails. Check out the bakery a short walk away. Most of the hotel's staff was bilingual and understood English well. They were kind and accommodating. There are spa services, a nice gym, pool, saunas. As a single female I felt very safe and could travel here by myself and know I would be well cared for. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and the breakfast is not to be missed. Wait staff was patient, professional. The tap water was unusually good. It is in close proximation to the Mozel River, castles, many historic sites, Luxemborg and France. The rooms were clean and the smaller room had all the space I needed with a great shower. The German people were gracious and welcoming.

Room tip: My room faced the back of the hotel and may have been quieter. I wear earplugs.

Very clean and in great repair. Most of the time it was very quiet but our room overlooked the front patio and entrance and it was noisy sometimes. The food was excellent!! I! We well recommend this to everyone.

Room tip: We did not have a balcony but would have enjoyed having one.
