We are regular Snowcoach skiers as, although there are imperfections, they provide excellent value for money. This was our 2nd year at Hotel L'Aigle which is a "basic" hotel but more than compensated this year by an outstanding team of staff. They were all very hardworking, conscientious, friendly and helpful. We didn't meet the kitchen staff but they managed to produce very good and plentiful meals daily. There is a well run bar, après ski activities and facilities for children. The position of the Hotel within the resort is perfect being next to the main ski lifts, childrens ski school and nursery slopes. Door to door ski-ing.

The hotel has all the facilities needed for a skiing holiday, from equipment hire through to evening entertainment. There is also a coach trip available from the uk, although we decided to fly to Geneva as we didn't fancy 16 hours travelling. The airport transfer took 2-3 hours however did not seem as long thanks to the friendly conversation with Ross (one of the hotel staff). The food was great (many thanks to the chefs Glen and Greg for fulfilling all our dietary needs) and all the staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also located in the ideal position, with just a 20m walk and a staircase to the ski lift area, great news for skiers wearing boots! As beginners we found that there is a wide verify of slopes and learnt a lot during our stay, improving from just a one day lesson to tackling red runs towards the end. All the staff either ski or snowboard and so can suggest runs that would suit an individuals level. Will recommend to many and probably return next year.

My first time with snow coach, very good trip indeed! Hotel L'Aigle is perfectly positioned a stones throw from the lift and is basic but well presented with friendly staff. Food was superb and the staff eat and serve at the table which is a nice touch. Slopes were well managed with quick lifts. The main focus of the green runs is for skiers so if you're a snowboarder and you want green runs this is not the resort for you! Other runs we're great! We stayed on the Valmeinier 1800 side as it was a short trip so didn't cross the valley but had a great time in blazing hot sunshine. Hoping for the same next year! Thanks to the snowcoach team!

We have stayed either at the Val Cenis Alpzur or L'Aigle many times. The Snowcoach ethos is brilliant whether you are travelling alone, as a family or with friends.

We have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly and, as a skiing holiday tends to be sociable, this is encouraged more so at mealtimes and with the opportunity to ski with the St Albans Ski Club for free.

The food is great and as a non-meat eater I have no complaints. Wine is lovely and free whilst you remain at the table and up until the cheese board.

Apres ski was enjoyed by all, I think on our latest trip everybody gelled well especially at the quiz night.

The value for money is excellent, you get what you pay for .

Will no doubt go again but I hope the coach will have been cleaned by then! (the standard of the coach was pointed out by another passenger, we travelled home with the same coach and there had been no attempt to clean it even though it had been back to the UK). I would advise that you take your own pillows and light blanket. we also joined at London but had to travel back up to Watford and then to Thurrock before the crossing, this meant additional unnecessary travel time, if we'd known would have joined at Watford as it was shorter.

But well done L'Aigle season 13/14 - the team was fantastic.

Excellent stay. Hotel and staff were great. Nice touch that the reps serve and eat dinner with guests. Nice apres ski events too. This is skiing on a budget and the coach trips are very long, but allowing for that the resort of Valmeiner is great for short breaks, nice runs, great lifts. Great hotel with great food. Bargain, would definitely go again. Thanks The Miller's (Ps Elvis has definitely left the resort)

Great last year but improved this season. New staff are excellent with great Managers, chefs and ski reps. The ski-ing was brilliant, doorstep start to each day but a huge variety of runs across a big area with plenty to stop and see. Great ice sculptures and waffles in Valloir great crepes in Verney. Good restaurants and cafes across the slopes and plenty within a budget if you look around or ask around.
The food was improved, the afternoon cakes were to die for, the wine is still free at meals, the evening entertainment was better organised and a. lot of the guests joined in making the evenings in the lounge a good laugh.
Hoping to get another week there before the end of the season. It's a great budget hotel with great staff looking after you and wonderful ski-ing. Absolutely don't understand the odd poor review.

Room Tip: Face Valloir for great views and go for the higher floors, 5 if you can.

FANTASTIC Ski trip! The coach trip from Watford to Valmeinier & back went like clockwork. Coach drivers were professional inviting us to speak up if any concerns.
Valmenier & Valloire ski area is BRILLIANT. Varied runs for all abilities. Chair lift system EXCELLENT linking it all. Family of 4 with 2 teens, 15 & 18, area easy to explore; DOOR STEP skiing A BONUS.
Hotel L’Aigle. A great DYNAMIC TEAM working here this season. Managers Adeline & Josh ‘mucked-in’ with the rest of the team cleaning rooms & serving meals. All staff were friendly & attentive building an instant rapport with guests. We arrived; collected ski passes, skis, boots & poles & off we went. Well done ski Techs Alex & Eloise. Chefs cooked delicious cake, enjoyed with a cuppa by the open fire using the free Wi-Fi. In the evenings the staff served filling & satisfying meals plus wine.
My only real concern is that if we reveal how good this GEM of a resort & hotel are, you will all want to go! So I guess we’ll have to book early for next year! Thanks for all your hard work Snowcoach. One Happy Family RTHL Shropshire. EAT, SLEEP, SKI, REPEAT..!

Room Tip: We stayed in a quad room on the 5th floor overlooking the street. We were up early to ski so deliver...
