Having eaten at Le Serac several times previously, we were keen to try the new sister restaurant. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, our evening was pitched perfectly. Eating an evening meal with a 21 month old toddler is never easy but the staff ensured that our evening was amazing. As soon as we arrived we were offered a meal for our daughter that could be prepared immediately. 10 minutes later & she was presented with the most amazing piece of beef, mashed potatoes & greens - the only reason she left any on her plate (which we quickly rectified) was because once our meals arrived, she was tucking happily into those too. The waiter was incredibly helpful & ensured we understood the exact translation of the dishes (which I hadn't); the entire meal was amazing.
The bill was reasonable for our meal & we weren't even charged for our daughter's meal. I did query this but was told that her meal was with their compliments. Now that is certainly customer service.
There was a lovely atmosphere in the place too; it was very relaxed & everyone clearly enjoying good food.
We will definitely be back.

One of the best value meals in this town. The choices are inspired and interesting. All the ingredients feel fresh and local and my salad accompanying my entree was an outstanding fennel and rocket salad. Take a phrase book, the dishes offer unusual cuts and ways of cooking. But all delicious and highly recommended. Service is very prompt.
Each main course is accompanied by a choice of vegetables, the wild mushrooms with parsley were delicious. All the main dishes are cooked in an oven which is visible to all, and cooked to perfection.
The wine is perhaps a little expensive, but the Mondeuse was a great choice and wonderful accompaniment to our meal.
Dessert is the highlight, each diner is free to choose from the wonderful patisserie selection in the adjoining shop, what a treat.
All that is lacking is a little more cosiness and perhaps a bit more charm from the maître d.

Maintains the standard of main restaurant , Le Serac, just more casual and cosy. Great menu and gets away from the usual mountain fare of cheese, potato and meat!
