“Absolutely perfect: a must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

Had dinner with my wife and even tried to stay in the hotel but was already fully booked. Food was delicious ( fresh menu every day and 29 euros only) and the atmosphere very nice. Dark clouds and rain forbidded us from having dinner outside but I would say that in any case this is a must when you come to st gervais except if you're looking for the very basic fondue that any restaurant in the center can provide...
We tested the place during summer but walking around we would also go during the winter without a second of hesitation to test the hotel aspect of this nice decorated chalet.

“Worth the trip up the hill!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant had a good choice of very good quality food and wine, reasonably priced. The atmosphere was intimate yet the tables were well spaced. The service was perfect and individual. For example, after I mistakenly added too much cold milk to my coffee, I asked the waitress to pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Without any fuss, that was exactly what she did and it was perfect. When our 2 cheese course portions arrived (an extra €7 for each one on top of the €29 for the set menu) it had been cut into four portions and as we left the chef came out to bid us farewell!

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

This restaurant really suprised us! Food and service were really excellent and place is really nice. It was charming restaurant. You get really, really good value for our money here. Three course dinner price was only 29 €. It's nothing, if you compare it villages restaurants. I think, that you need a reservation always. It's really worth of visit here unless tihs restaurant is a little way out of town.

“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

A little way out of town but well worth going here. We went for the last meal of our holiday and it did not disappoint. A small stylish restaurant attached to a small hotel.
A lovely welcome and a great ambiance. The food is delicious and very well presented. My wife had smoked wild boar ham and I had a croquette of monkfish with lime and a cream sauce. To follow I had delicious rare venison while my wife had excellent sea bass. Both were accompanied by vegetables and well flavoured sauces.
Sweets and cheeses were similarly excellent. We had good and reasonably priced wines by the glass but the wine list had interesting and fairly priced bottles and a few half bottles.
If you are staying in the Alps and tiring of various combinations of cheese, ham, potato etc this is well worthy of a visit. We will certainly go back again.
