“Small but perfectly formed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled upon by chance as on the edge of the main square. We were squeezed in a corner and served lovely food and fantastic wine at reasonable prices. Full of French people, good sign, and don't speak a lot of English but make the effort with them and you will be rewarded. Make sure and find it and probably best to book!

“Nice restaurant - book in advance!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

A lovely little restaurant in the centre of St. Gervais. There's only a few tables, so worth booking in advance to be sure of a seat!

Like most others in St. Gervais, it focuses on Savoyarde Specialities - we went for Pierreade, which involves a very hot piece of stone being bought to your table (and kept hot on a meths burner), and a plate of little bits of raw meat that you can cook yourself, with a range of dipping sauces too. It's a great fun way to serve and eat your food, and keeps you busy; there was plenty enough meat to keep us going. (Careful of the mustard - it is HOT!!).

Service was good, there was (inevitably) a good choice of wines, and the menu included English translation for those who's French might not be quite so strong.
