“wonderful ski vacation”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

The perfect place to stay for a family ski vacation. A brand-new hotel, with excellent design, spacious clean rooms, right on the ski slope. I'd like to thank once again to the reception team for their responsiveness, kindness and help. They even let me use their computer for the online check-in at Geneva airport. I'll will surely recommend this charming hotel to my friends.

Room Tip: Suit Valley is comfortable and spacious for a family with 2 children.

I visited this hotel with my family and parents. We all loved it! Everythng looks nice and clean. Such a contrast with a lot of wintersport appartments. Only negative was the location. No problem for good skieers but with our 4 yr olds we had to walk, which is a 10 min climb with all the gear and kids

Suprisingly many Russians (and Ukranians). Too few chairs in the pool area. The restaurant is said to be below exectations, but we never went there, and the cup of vin chaud I had was ok-minus. The location is not perfect - to get to places in the hood you have to take an out-door elevator, and then walk up and up and up for two hundred meters. Not enough hangers in the rooms. You cannot dry skiboots in the skiroom. If you are lucky to get a locker in the skiroom that is. The wi-fi is free, whenever it works. Prepare to wait and wait and wait for the elevator (in the hotel).
The big plus - relatively modern facility, and classy looking lobby zone. Also the rooms are quite big - not the traditional french ski way to put six sleeps into 20 sq meters.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel in a Chalet Suite. The location of the hotel is superb. Right on the piste. This room was smaller than the one we stayed in last year, but the beds were still just as good! Last year we were given some cleaning materials but nothing of the sort this year. Very annoying! Staff weren't able to give us any details about NYE celebrations which we found very strange. Wifi reception for the actual room was very poor, but staff gave us the code for another room after which we no longer had problems.
The ski room has been improved and even though the lockers are still way too small to hold 5/6 pairs of skis and boots, the additional w sofas make the whole process of putting on ski boots a lot easier.

Room Tip: Rooms with village view have balconies facing south so actually get sunshine in the afternoon.

After first time being in Les Menuires I have to admitt, I am not a fan of this area.
This hotel is big and brand new. I stayed in family room: one bedroom with bathroom, one bedroom with shower, alcove with two bank beds, sitting area with courtesy kitchenette, view for mountains and parking. Room is modern design full of gray, white and some violet. Definetly, this is a 4 star hotel. Ski in/ski out, with restaurant, swimming pool but there are some details that decrease value in my opinion.
Ski room: locker without heat racks for shoes (in the morning I got wet boots), only two 2 meters bench for about 100 lockers. You have to have luck to sit and change boots after skiing.
Swimming pool area is clean and modern design. But not cosy for me. Cold light, to small amount chairs for resting after swimming or being in sauna. And I think that there is a wrong solutions for people who are coming back from swimming pool to theirs room. Going back to the room with wet hair in robe we had to use the same anteroom that skijers coming from skies. Once, I was opening the door to get to the lift or stairs and in the same time people were opening outside door coming back from skies. And cold air getting info anteroom where together we waited for a lift.
Outside parking is free of charge, underground garage is payable. Free Wi Fi.
I recommend to go outside for a dinner. Breakfat OK. Coffee excellent.

Stayed there in February 2012 with my family, we had a Chalet Suite that was a good size, (the kids had their own bedroom), modern, clean and well equipped. The staff were great, very helpful and could point us in the right direction for ski hire and local shops. The hotel is towards the lower slopes which was great whilst we were there, ski in/out and easy access to lifts. The gym and spa were very welcome after a long day skiing, with robes and towels provided.
The only downside was the food, we arrived in the evening and headed to the restaurant, but the quality was not really very good at all, especially considering the price! After that, we made good use of the kitchen area within the suite for the majority of our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights in suite which has separate bedroom and living / cooking area, large balcony, separate toilet and bathroom. Very new hotel with excellent quality. I did not really like the village Les Menuires and the location of the hotel that much but the hotel is perfect quality compared to some of the ugly large hotels in Val Thorens. Restaurant is of excellent for dinner. Breakfast is also fine. Service fine. Really a good place to stay when skiing in the area.
