I read a few reviews of the hotel prior to travelling and found them to be mixed, I would have to say that for what we paid for the package (£650) the hotel was excellent.
The restaurant staff work very hard and produce excellent French food. Any short falls in lack of plates or empty orange juice machines etc. which seemed to cause annoyance to some residents are purely down to understaffing, if the problem is highlighted to the staff the problem is immediately resolved. The bar service in the restaurant is fairly limited and we found it best to take drinks in with us.
The rooms were clean and tidy and the hotel was quiet at night time. The beds are on the small side and might be too small for some people.
Soleil itself is quiet and won't suit party animals, but communications are OK to other Plagne resorts.
