My husband and I always follow trip advisor recommendations on holiday and this is one of the best.

The restaurant is just away from the main square which is packed with restaurants. Please walk past them, this place is truly fantastic.

I had soft mussels in a saffron sauce followed by magret de canard in a fig sauce with dauphinoise and then chocolate fondant with cream and salted caramel ice cream. My husband had confit de canard in a gratin with potatoes and crispy fried onions, steak and the local cheeses which were expertly selected. The wine lists are also brilliant selections. Our pinot noir was a great accompaniment.

The service was attentive without being overbearing. My husband said his was the best meal he has ever had. It was 70 Euro including wine and aperitifs but you could dine a lot cheaper if you wanted to. It's worth mentioning that we dined here on a Sunday, if youre not in the know many restaurants close in France on a Sunday (Dimanche).

Very glad we followed the suggestions from others on here. We visited on a Saturday night in October, and the restaurant was initially almost empty at 8-30pm. However, by the time we left there were 18 or 20 people eating in there, so don't be put off if your evening starts quietly.

We both had the €27 menu which was great - especially the pate, which was superb. A very good meal altogether, thoroughly recommend this un-pretentious looking restaurant, if you have a night in Saint Omer, and the service is very friendly.

We have been visiting St Omer for over 10 years, we stumbled upon this restaurant on our first visit and always eat here (2-3 times a year). Sebastian is always friendly and professional, the food is amazing at an excellent price (wines are good too). If you are looking for a taste of France
in a relaxed setting, offering great food, good wines, attentive but unobtrusive service, then you must not miss this establishment.

Last night in France and wanted it to be worthwhile. Early doors because of an early ferry crossing. By 9pm we were still the only customers athough several had looked but not bought!
Service was friendly and excellent and the 27E menu was lovely ith enough choice and typical French creamy flavours.
Don't walk past, go in -they deserve your custom!!

We have walked past this restaurant many times and not given it a glance because the outside is very unappealing. On being advised by the Tripadvisor community we went inside to be met by a courteous and friendly host. The food was excellent. We chose from the 'Couleurs and Flaveurs' menu at €27 beginning with Carpaccio of haddock fumé with pear and ginger. A wonderful light and tasty entreé. We then ate a Waterzoï de la mer- fish selection in a small casserole with basil cream, and Cod in honey with fleur de biere. There is a gastronomic menu at € 34 with good sounding dishes. Others were eating from this menu and the food looked very tempting as it passed by. Desserts were good too. Wine was correctly chilled. Service was excellent.
