We almost felt guilty as the six of us [despite being regular visitors to St Omer] dined, occupying the biggest share of this small restaurant and so depriving the locals [ self-evident and occupying every other table] of their "secret". However, we could not stop congratulating ourselves both during and after the meal on the discovery. The food was indeed rustic and eclectic; the wine matched it. The prices were very reasonable. The patron simply "iced" the cake. How long ahead will we need to book next time? Getting a table might dictate the timing of our return.
