Not bad. Comfortable and safe and fine to stay at if your on a budget. can walk to kuta if your reasonably fit.

Breakfast was good. Pool bar wasnt in use.

last time we stayed at the Laguna in Nusa Dua... The Laguna is MUCH nicer.

Before arriving we tried to arrange an airport pick up by email and as we received no reply we tried to book it by phone but we were in Sydney and the phone kept cutting off so as a result we did not get picked up from the airport and we had to get a taxi. We arrived at the hotel and was pleasently surprised with a welcome drink and they said we got upgraded to a deluxe room which I think is actually their superior room because a few other people we spoke to got upgraded aswell, good idea on their part. The room and hotel grounds/pool are great and we spent alot of time there. The hotel food is good but very highly priced for Bali. We got a good deal for the hotel with breakfast included. The breakfast was good on some days with alot of variety then other days you had to ask for cereal, bread, milk etc restocking during the breakfast service would be good. The beach near the hotel is not very nice at all neither is Kuta beach you dont get a minute to sit down without someone coming to sell you something and its very very dirty.

We booked tours with the hotel and they were brilliant!
*Elephant ride and white water rafting
*Water sports at Nusa dua.
Make sure a "special price" is given though.

I would not reccommend getting any of the taxis out the front of the hotel and would stick to the blue taxis with a meter they are soooooooooo much cheaper we were paying 45,000/50,000 and with the blue taxis is 11,000.
There is a really nice mexican restaurant called TJs on poppies lane which is worth a visit, food is lovely and good value for money.

Overall we really liked the hotel and the staff are friendly but the location is just to far away from anything, tuban is very quiet and there didnt seem to be any atmosphere at night or much variety near the hotel as a result we wont be staying there again.

Stayed at the rama just one night before flying back homne after staying for a month in the Lovina area in North Bali. Maybe the relatively basic circumstances in the North influence my judgement, but for me the - again relative - luxury of the Rama felt saliturily. Large clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, great swimming pool with bar & pool restaurant. And: free hotel taxi to the airport.
The only thing that puzzles me is the adjective Beach in the hotel's name: there are lots of signs on the premises pointing the way to the beach, but it all ended in some kind of backstreet. There wasn't a beach in sight.

Average hotel and daily breakfast is nothing fantastic. Some glasses are not properly cleaned, you can even see stains on cutlery.

Not only that, as this is our first time to Bali, we are not familiar with the places around.
So when asked where is Kuta beach, how long it takes to reach there, the hotel staff said 20 min, better take a cab. Another hotel staff interrupted, said 30 mins. By taxi is about 50000RP.
Then he quickly walked out of the hotel, found a private driver for us (those parked outside the hotel), and told us the price to send us to Kuta beach.

We were reluctant to pay, so the driver quickly dropped his price to 40000RP.
We hopped in, and later on our way back to hotel by taxi, we realized the price was only 8000RP! That means, we paid more than 200% more than the usual! Thanks to the hotel staff!

This is not all.
Another instance was when we asked them how far is Nusa Dua beach, the hotel told us is 45 minutes by car and cost 200,000RP by taxi one way! And each taxi can only take 3 person maximum in a car !
We got a taxi outside ourselves later, found it cost about 50,000RP one way only! True enough, only 20 mins ride!

I can only say, be careful of the hotel staff! They are really good at cheating the tourists!
We will never return to this hotel and thanks to their dishonest staffs!

We have just returned from our holiday to Bali staying this time at Rama Beach Resort. We had specific criteria we wanted in a hotel, pool bar, close to centre of Kuta and clean. We were in a deluxe room which was pretty average, our power blew two days in a row and our toilet got blocked once - not fun in Bali! The walk from our room to the front of hotel or pool was pretty long, and going up and down the stairs (we were on top floor) in the heat was not good.

Unfortunately although the website promotes a pool/sunken bar there is not one! We complained to both travel agent and hotel and it was 4 days before the mgmt came to see us. We were then upgraded to a villa room with its own pool. The villa rooms were much nicer and the only rooms you would want to stay in if you visit this hotel.

The resturant was always empty as the price of food and drink at the hotel was very expensive - Mahal! We ordered room service when we couldn't be bothered going out, and the food was nice but not worth the price, esp in Bali when everything is so cheap. You are about a 10-15 min walk from the Discovery Mall or Waterbom park. This area was much quieter, but not as many little pubs and eating spots as in Legian.

Travelled with my hubby and 2 very close friends. We all had Suite Villas with a plunge pool, these villa's were excellent! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were modern with a traditional feel, the beds were enormous!!! The bathrooms were very large and facilities were great. The restaurant food and service were amazing; in fact I can't fault this hotel. The day spa; whilst not the cheapest around is definetley worth a go; we all had massages which were wonderful.
