We always stay at the santika in Bali. This hotel is the best! We always stay in the villa's and they always are perfect for our Bali holidays. Nothing is ever too much trouble with the staff, they bend over backwards to cater for your every whim, all with that lovely Balinese smile. The food is all wonderful most especially their amazing breakfast buffet. As we stay in this hotel at least 2 times a year its feeling like home when you are instantly greeted by those warm friendly faces everywhere in the hotel. Perfect location for families, its just a short stroll to kuta square. We love this hotel and would never stay anywhere else in bali.

International standard hotel, hidden in the green (almost) with nice beach and beach bar. A quiet and nice place to stay for one night or more. Fantastic for the kids, because it is not crowded.
We just didn't like Kuta's atmosphere - meaning that staying on the beach you have almost all the time people coming and insisting to sell you all kinds of 'souvenirs', massage, pedicure - even 'local' hunting weapons. I suppose they do that because a lot of customers like to buy these.
The hotel (in Tuban) is more quiet than probably other places in Kuta, but the staff should ensure that the hotel's customers who don't like this are not constantly harassed.

We stayed at the Santika Premier Beach Hotel for a total of 5 nights August/September 2011. Check in was smooth. Lovely welcome drink and smiling faces to greet us.
Lovely gardens, nice rooms, very clean. Nice pools, one with a swim up bar. Location for us was great with the beach path out the back to walk to Kuta. Easy access to the beach. Ponds with Koi and Ducks really nice. Breakfast was fantastic with an amazing variety. Great spring rolls at Sands Restaraunt out the back. We stayed in a Deluxe room first, then after a trip to Ubud, we stayed the last couple of days in a Premier right near the pool. Lovely friendly staff. We didn't hear any street noise at all even though the street out front was really busy. All in all it felt like a really peaceful oasis and the staff are just so lovely. We will most definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Premier rooms are really nice if they fit your budget.

We stayed at Hotel Santika Premier for 3 nights in early September. We had planned to stay 4 however we were initally mislead by the travel company we booked with and sent to Hotel Santika Kuta....which may I add is FAR from the Premier! We had to stay there one night before being transferred as Santika Kuta is not near anything, beach/shops/restaurants, and resembles more a motel with a pool than a resort, so our appreciation of the Premier on arrival (finally) was one of great delight and it didn't take us long to forget our intial dissatisfaction with 'Hotel Santika Kuta'!

the gardens are amazing, probably the best I have sen at a resort in my travels, staff very friendly, room clean, spacious, bed was massive (biggest I've ever seen!) looking over the front pool. Nice swim up bar with happy hour in the afternoon.

Breakfast buffett was incredible with lots to choose from.

Met a lovely young man onthe travel desk who helped us with all our tour and travel needs, also arranged for us to leave our bags at the resort on our last day (before gong to airport) in Bali despite us checking out 2 days prior for Lombok (see my review of Sherraton Senggigi Lombok). Very grateful for this service.

Its close to everything, a short walk along the beach to Discovery Mall, which you can go through to get to the main restaurant/shopping strip. Lots of restaurants along beach and at Discovery worth checking out too.

If we go back to Bali we will be sure to stay here again!

Spent a couple of nights here. The staff really make a difference, everyone is extremely helpful and always smiling. The main swimming pool has a good temperature and very large - but at one stage there were too many rowdy kids so it was a bit loud. The bar on the beach, Sands has a very large selection of food. There is also a reflexology path, you walk over a bunch of stone barefoot. According to the amount of pain you feel, it will then tell you something about your inside well being.

Breakfast is good, very wide variety and a good omelette station.

Good location in Kuta, but its so loud and busy outside you may want to walk on the beach instead. Just be warned you will be harrased by a lot of vendors... a lot!
