We were there the last week of August. The weather was still hot (28 degrees). We are a family of 5 - 3 kids (aged 16, 4, 9). We chose a ground floor bedroom (Rm 6103) - which was huge! A king bed, 2 x singles, a fold-out sofa, a separate make/up change room, a bathroom and still lots of room to swing a dog!. The room was next to the Palms Restaurant and close to the pool. It wasn't noisy. The only noise I heard was around 4-5am of clattery kitchen dishes and cutler, but I am a light sleeper and none of my family heard this. Because my youngest was 9 years - the roller bed (which pretty much looked like a proper single bed) was provided for free. Also, the room plugs are the international kind - so no need to bring a universal converter.
The room had a wide swinging couch on the front porch, which my husband enjoyed in the warm (and cooler) evenings with his ebook. The staff put out lantern lights in the evening, and the atmosphere is just romantic and wonderful.

The Holiday Inn was perfect for our family. The youngest loved the pool, the weather was perfect enough to be able to be in the pool all day and not get cold. We decided not to venture out into the Bali streets and into the hot weather and just stay within the resort due to the fact that there was everything we needed there. Two restaurants (Palms & Envy), a pool bar, desserts & coffee bar (Flavaz), large outdoor chess board, pool table, kids gaming area, and a professional Day Spa facility (The Tea Tree). The Day Spa prices were so good - we all got massages/facials, and then again the next day. The staff are very friendly, very hospitable, very welcoming. The four-poster cabanas were perfect to just lounge on for the entire day - to read, to sleep, to social network (free wifi). In addition, the beach was literally there. The resort had their own security as to stop the public from coming into the hotel's grounds.
At nights, each restaurants would have live dance or music.

I would recommend buying the hotel credits. We brought the $4,000,000 IDR (and pay only $3,000,000IDR) which only pays for food and drinks (not day spa). The hotel prices are a bit more than what you would pay if you ventured out - but the atmosphere was so relaxed, clean and professional - we didn't mind.
I would also recommend including the breakfast with your booking (otherwise it is $160,000IDR per person). The breakfast buffet is excellent. So much food and variety - from continental, to cooked breakfast, to Indonesian breakfast. My kids went for endless bacon and the waffle cart until they couldn't eat any more. My more health conscious husband went for the fruit bowls, natural yogurt and freshly made omelettes (to ones specification).

Our family really loved our stay there and wanted to stay for more days. When we checked out - they allowed us to keep our luggage there as our flight wasn't until 5pm, and offered a free shower when we returned from our walk-about in Kuta (which was needed).

Thank you Baruna Resort. We hope to come again in the future.

We stayed in Feb 17, Its a good hotel with private beach, excellent rooms and breakfast. Staff was very cultured and supportive. It has all the facilities available like wifi, taxi, room service etc etc. close to Citi Center and Airport. Has a comfortable and memorable stay.

The resort is amazing. The staff are very courteous and always smiling. They have a kids play area, where you can leave your children and they take care of them while playing indoor. Their breakfast buffet spread is commendable. During our breakfast one of the staff by name Mr.Tawa was very helpful in getting things which our kids wanted. The resort has direct access to the beach, which is very clean. I stayed there for just 3 nights. I wish I could have extended my trip. Thumbs up to the resort!

We stayed 7 nights at this resort and wish we could have stayed longer. The stay didn’t start off well as we arrived and had booked a kids suite. Our kids were excited about the themed room but they were overbooked so we were given a large room with us all in the same room. We preferred the idea of seperate rooms, so asked to move the next day after arriving late. We were given 2 normal rooms that were Inter-connecting (they did offer to move us to the kids suite it the end but that was 5 nights in).

All the staff members that we came across were fantastic, helpful and with a warm friendly smile.

The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are nice.
Breakfast buffet has a really good spread and eggs to order, everything you need.
It also has a kids buffet section (although maybe cake for breakfast is a bit much) our kids loved being able to help themselves.
Would highly recommend the hotel for families and will possibly look to stay again in the future.

It had been 15 years since the last stay here (previously known as Bali Hai) and we are so glad we chose this resort. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked to return again in two months.
Perhaps it was because we are now members of IHG Rewards club that we received VIP treatment and all staff were keen to serve and ensure we were happy with our room, service, and food quality.
Our Room was spacious, modern, clean and overlooked the beautiful expansive gardens and beach. Lovely large balcony with lounge and table which were excellent in the morning and early part of the day but given the location of our room was a bit too hot to sit out in the afternoon.
Breakfast is excellent, choices to meet every taste, eggs are ordered at the table as soon as you are seated and then they are cooked to your specification and delivered to the table as is the tea and coffee of your choice. Whilst they are being cooked you are free to self serve from the extensive buffet.
As well as the breakfast restaurant which serves lunch and dinner, there is another restaurant called Envy, which is also open for passing trade from the beach path. Excellent quality food, the portion size a little on the small side though. Food pricing is very good for the quality, drinks on the other hand are expensive especially the wine and the price of a bottle of local wine at IDR600,000 is way over the top and only slightly cheaper than imported wines. There is however no "plus plus" which is very pleasing so what you see is what you pay.
If you are a guest in the hotel you have an opportunity to purchase"credit" for use in the restaurants. For example I purchased IDR4,000,000 for IDR3,000,000 which in effect is 25% discount and in a way offsets the drink prices. You can top up your credit but it is non refundable if not used.
All in all an excellent resort in a great quiet location where you can relax and yet still within easy reach of main shopping areas etc.
Highly recommended.
