Description: A secluded cove on the islands of Bermuda is reportedly where one Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, spent some time hiding out from the Governor Eden of North Carolina around 1718. His ship the Queen Anne’s Revenge may have even anchored off Achilles’ Bay; the crew may have basked on the beach and fished and swam in crystal clear turquoise water. They may also have created a small hut on the shore to shelter from the sun but what stands there today has transformed into the Beach House at Blackbeard's. It serves some of the best food on the island with wine to match in a shabby chic restaurant with a good bar and a special view of the sunset.

Wow! Amazing food, great service, incredible views! The experience was made even better by our after dinner chat/wine with Pierro. That type of personal service is why we had our best night in Bermuda! He treated us like life long friends and we will most certainly go back. A true hidden gem in Bermuda and you do not want to miss it. We actually went twice in one day...cocktails after a trip to Ft St Catherine (they even rescued us when we could not get a cab!) And dinner that night for an incredible meal. Do not miss!

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Bermuda (May 17 - 20, 2013) and had several excellent dining experiences including the Fourways Sunday Brunch, the Lido at Elbow Beach, and the Harbourfront in Hamilton - oh, and I can't leave out the Spot Diner, as well -- our first stop -- all were enjoyable -- good food and great service.

Tops for us however (and it wasn't close) was The Beach House at the St. Georges Club. On our last evening (Sunday) we journeyed from Hamilton out to St. George's (probably a 25 minute drive by cab) and were rewarded by a super meal, unbeatable views and great service. I chose a fresh catch of the day special (barbecued rockfish) which was positively unique and delicious. My wife's entre was also some sort of fish (details lost to my memory) but it was excellent, as well. Soup starter (me) and clams (her) were outstanding - fresh, nicely seasoned.

Overall impression of the food at The Beach House compared to other good restaurants we visited on the trip was this: The Beach House was more creative - the food was more interesting and modern - in four words: more lively and exciting.

The staff were also super: Piero and the wait staff team could not have been friendlier and seemed genuinely happy to be there serving guests, which really contributed to a most enjoyable last night in Bermuda.

We had heard a lot about the Beach House before going. Set in idyllic Bermuda surroundings with colonial history, natural flora, and beaches. Perfect setting for small intimate parties, family affairs or just a cozy group of friends. Staff are Bermuda friendly and menu is varied with some interesting dishes. If you want something different just ask the Chef. If you are travelling to T. Georges don't miss it.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
Good menu choice and tasty food. Good table wine, too :)
Great for a leisurely brunch / lunch.
All in our party of 8 were happy.

We were on vacation and our hotel recommended The Beach House (they did mention it changed ownership about a year ago, and haven't tried it since). We had a 8pm reservation and didn't get seated until 8:45pm. Service was extremely slow; we had to flag the waiter to get drinks and to put our orders in. We got a salad and soup to start and it was average. Our steak and lamb chops were supposed to be medium rare but were well done. We returned the food and wound up leaving (they did take the entrees off the bill). We were there for over three hours and it was truly one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. With so many great restaurants to chose from, don't waste your time here. The view is great but not worth the overal experience.
