We've been coming to Bermuda for years and our one constant is a visit to the Dockyards Pastry Shop. A few years ago, the owners baked a fantastic gluten free cake for my daughter's birthday and delivered it to us in Southhampton (how's that for service?) So, we make a point of visiting them typically for lunch & carry-out goodies. They have a great selection of sandwiches with a gluten free roll or bread - this visit we had Reuben sandwiches. They also make great smoothies and have a good variety of coffees, hot & iced. We normally get our dessert to go, this time some lovely chocolate dipped almond cookies. They also have a Dulce de Leche cheesecake, flourless chocolate dome & carrot cake, all gluten free. For those without gluten issues, they have a broad selection of pastries, cakes, cookies etc, all I'm told were excellent.
For those of you visiting Bermuda by cruise and docked at the Dockyard's pier, it's literally a 100 yards away. If you're gluten free, don't you dare miss it!

Had a Rueben and husband had humus plate, both very good. Good food and fantastic tea. Service was good, not the friendliest but good. A bit pricey for a sandwich, but then again it is Bermuda.

Whilst visiting the Dockyard Orby boy was somewhat hungry and his host suggested the Pastry shop having previously enjoyed its fare. A turkey club was ordered and it did not disappoint. Packed full of delicious salad, cheese and turkey. Delicious and filling. To complete the meal a stupendous berry tart was devoured. Orby boy and his party thoroughly enjoyed their lunch returning two days later to dine again.
My only small critique was that they had run out of berry tarts which my host had hoped to enjoy later on in the solitude of his luxurious new pad. However, eager to please the staff were able to suggest a tasty alternative which my host informed me was every bit as good as the berry tart.
Orby boy will return on his next visit to the island

We stopped for lunch and the place was full and busy. We ordered from the specials board - three fish sandwiches. The waitress was chatty and welcoming. When the sandwiches arrived they were absolutely delicious and steaming hot. Reasonably priced overall. Recommended.

We stopped in for a cup of cappuccino only to find a very hospitable staff who were so welcoming and we had our dessert outside on the patio. All the desserts are homemade and delicious! We chose chocolate croissants and cinnamon rolls, but there is a huge variety of pastries to choose from. This is a must stop on your visit to the National Museum or just visiting the Royal Dockyard... you won't be disappointed!
