“Nice historic place”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

People were friendly and you could take public transportation there. Besides it was the only thing open the day after Christmas and the restaurants stayed open late because everything else closed at 5:00pm daily.

“Rich history is lost in the maze of overpriced shops, but...”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Stroll the area with the knowledge that you're not going into the overpriced shops! Take a tour guidebook and learn about the proud and brave history of the island. Then go ahead and spend an hour or two at one of the cafes, relax, unwind....have a tropical drink, enjoy the island rhythm... it's a beautiful harborside area.

“So much history to experience!”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The $10 admission charge to see the museum was well worth the cost. Since we visited on a weekend day the admission also included an interesting dolphin display . We loved the mural in the commissioners building and so many other interesting displays. The views alone make this place worth a visit. I would recommend bringing a picnic lunch and spending half a day at least. There are picnic tables and clean washroom facilities. A lot of fun for young and old!

“Nice place to walk around”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

I spent a couple of hours walking around this area of Bermuda. I really enjoyed the museum and the dolphin exhibit. There are a couple of stores and restaurants in the area. I was here in December so there wasn't much activity but I actually like that.

“Convenient shopping while cruising”
Reviewed December 11, 2013

The Royal Naval Dockyard was an interesting place to wander about. Cruise Ships that dock at Kings Wharf are only a short walk to the Dockyard. There are lots of tall stone walls and old stone buildings that house various shops and restaurants along the narrow (often one-way) streets. Lots of architecture to enjoy.

The Clocktower Mall has the most shops in one area - here's where you can get some trinkets to bring home. Some of the items are pretty pricey though. There's a drugstore to the right of the Clocktower Mall that seemed to have a better selection of trinkets and at much better prices.

Be careful when out walking, the streets are narrow and the drivers seem to go really fast. Most streets have sidewalks and I found that crossing the street occasionally posed a challenge.
