Stayed here for a weekend in March. The location is very convenient to the airport and the bus stop right at the entrance of the hotel made getting into st George's a breeze. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is great and the caves are awesome. Now, some of the negatives...The food and the quality of the rooms/beds leave something to be desired. The most irritating thing, however, is their wifi policy. They charge $15 per device per day! AND it only works in the lobby. This hotel is a great price and I could forgive the subpar food and not-so-great hotel room, but to have $60 in wifi charges for a 2-day stay is ridiculous. Especially since we had to go to the lobby if we wanted to use it.

We arrived at night and were seen to, the minute the taxi pulled up at the hotel entrance. Once we booked in a bell man drove us and the luggage to our room and carried the cases in. All staff were friendly without exception and made our 10 day stay on this fabulous island a relaxing, chilled out break.
We had an all inclusive package which included a bus pass (use on ferries too) so we travelled the length and breadth of the island. We swam everyday in the sea at different bays and saw amazing fish and fauna.
We had not intended to eat at the hotel daily but the food was to such a high standard that we ate only at the hotel in the evenings. The grounds are beautifully kept so a cappucino on the front lawn after breakfast was a must. The hotel has its own bay where we were able to snorkel, kayak, paddle board etc all included in the holiday price. We also had helpful tips from staff about places round the island and also shops worth seeing ect.
We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and so this was a one off holiday as not keen on long flights, but so bowled over that we will definitely return and stay at this hotel. In our room on arrival was a Bermuda rum cake with a anniversary card painted by a local artist which was such a lovely present. We cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and the island. THANK YOU X

Room Tip: Our room was 430 which was top floor with view over the bay and although airport in distance never r...

We recently stayed at Grotto Bay and found the staff to be helpful and the grounds to be well maintained. The resort is very close to the airport ($6 cab ride) and has convenient access to public bus transportation. The lobby staff was always helpful. Unfortunately, it rained the majority of our trip so we were unable to take advantage of the beach and pool.

I stayed at Grotto Bay for 3 nights in November 2013. Although in Bermuda on business, I was able to feel that I was on a mini-vacation thanks to the pretty little beach with its crystal blue water and little fish. Tropical flora, roosters and cats on the property always make me feel like I'm somewhere lovely, and that was an unexpected treat on a work trip. I would like to have stayed longer to enjoy the resort feel a bit more.

The only drawback for me was the location of the hotel, and that's only because I had to get in to Hamilton every morning for meetings and back into town again in the evening for work dinners etc., which entailed a lot of cabbing around (it's quite a drive into town - scenic, but not quick). This is absolutely not an issue if you are in Bermuda for more of a sightseeing holiday - only a consideration if you need speedy and regular access to downtown Hamilton.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and even arranged to return a cell phone that I'd rented during my stay.

I took my wife to Bermuda for her birthday. We stayed three nights at the Grotto Bay Resort. I was a little concerned when the view from our balcony included the airport. Much to our surprise we never heard any planes taking off or landing. It really was quiet. The room was very clean and adequate for our needs. Everyone from check in to check out were incredibly nice and helpful. Many of the staff gave us great tips on what to see and do. Please take the time to meet with the concierge as they contributed to a great experience.
We ate dinner two nights in the two restaurants. Both were great (high quality service and food). The wait staff made my wife's birthday special. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will definitely stay here the next time we visit Bermuda!

There were 4 of us (all adults) who stayed in two rooms - rooms 461 and 462, for 9 nights 19th Feb - 28th Feb on an all-inclusive basis.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! From the moment we walked through the door here we were treated like royalty.

This hotel is in a good location, by the airport, but there were never any problems with noise pollution as the air crafts do not fly directly over the hotel. Taxi to and from the airport approx. $10 each way.

We went all inclusive which included - all beers, spirits, most cocktails, buffet breakfast, buffet lunch (or you can choose anything from the menu), and anything from the menu for dinner, afternoon tea and scones, swimming in the hotel cave, non-motorized sports, bus and ferry passes (which will get you around the island free!), use of the hotels private beach, pool and hot tub.

The best thing about our stay were the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always there to help in any way they could. Cristian was super! Anything he could do to help, he would at the drop of a hat!, Esteban and Wilfredo who served us in the restaurant each day and night were so friendly and always smiling, Veronica welcomed us each evening by name and always asked us how we were, Richard in the bar was lovely and Donna on reception helped us so much! I could use all this review telling you just how lovely they all were! THANK YOU ALL!

The food there was delicious, plentiful and well presented. It was so tasty that we piled on the pounds and all need strict diets! lol. You could eat in the Palm Court Restaurant or the Hibiscus Restaurant. I preferred the Hibiscus restaurant personally. But, with both, there was plenty of choices. TIP: Remember to book your table for dinner (saves any waiting time). Also, whether you choose to eat in Palm Court or Hibiscus Restaurants could could still choose from either menu.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and all areas inside and out, including our rooms are kept spotless! The hotel is in walking distance to the Swizzle Inn, a petrol station and a small supermarket. Just around the corner (also within walking distance) are the Crystal and Fantasy caves - which are worth a visit.

Within the hotel grounds there were two caves. One for spa users (which you pay extra for), and one open to guests from 9am until 5pm. This was an amazing place to swim in and explore. The water temperature is invigorating (yes, a little cold), but well worth it! The private beach was always quiet (in Feb), and had gorgeous views and a relaxing atmosphere. The pool and Jacuzzi were super after a full day out sightseeing. TIP: to explore the cave in more details take sensible footwear and a powerful torch. The main part of the cave is well lit, but further in isn't.

The bus and ferry passes were worth there weight in gold to us! Such a lovely, welcome addition to the usual all-inclusive package. These free passes got us all around the island. Recommended places to visit - Dockyards, Horseshoe Bay, St. Georges, Hamilton. As Bermuda has a good bus service we never waited long for a bus and used them as a 'hop-on, hop-off' option. TIP: press the bell on the bus if you'd like to get off at the next stop.

Definitely to most helpful and friendly hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in and we can't wait to return!

On a recent business & pleasure trip my husband an I chose to stay at Grotto Bay. In the past when I have traveled to Bermuda for business I have stayed in downtown Hamilton, and though it is more convenient to stay in the city center, this hotel offered the peace and solitude one hopes for on a vacation. It is very close to the airport, though you wouldn't know it and it is an easy and affordable bus ride to Hamilton ($4.50 each way) and a quick and lovely bus ride on to St. George's for $2.50 each way. I would definitely suggest getting bus passes if you are staying for a few days as the taxis are very expensive.

The property is beautiful. There are breathtaking views everywhere you turn and the amenities are excellent. There is a beautiful and large heated pool, a lovely hot tub in a nice secluded nook, caverns in which you can swim, and the beach, of course! We visited in the rainy season, but when we return in nicer weather we will definitely take advantage of the water sports available on site.

We had two different rooms because our flight got canceled and we had to stay an extra night. The first room was the least expensive one and it was nice, but very simple and did not have a great view. The second room was an upgrade and was gorgeous with an incredible view of the ocean. Try and get a second or third floor room for the views!

Food was good, drinks were delicious. Everything was very, very expensive. There is an all-inclusive option which we will definitely take advantage of next time!

The service was the most notable aspect of this hotel. Everyone from the concierge to the managers were super friendly, professional, and happy. It seems like people actually like working here and it showed!

Great time! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: As I said above, try and get a room that is not on the first floor! The upgraded rooms are significa...
