The Swizzle was close to my hotel at Grotto Bay. During a week in Bermuda I went to the Swizzle four nights of five. The atmosphere is great, staff lovely, and Wi-Fi free. The upstairs non-smoking patio was a terrific place to while away some time catching up on Facebook while absorbing a few drinks and enjoying the sun from the shade. The beer list is a little underwhelming, and I would have liked to see Dockyards Brewing Company brews (or at least something more British than Stella) on the menu. The food was good if unremarkable. Go for the Swizzle--which is yummy--and the friendly atmosphere.

Bermuda is NOT known for it's food... But this was the best overall meal we had on the island. We went on a Saturday night (they do a BBQ on Fri and Sat) we had the ribs and steak and both were delicious. We sat outside for a lower key feel. Inside there was a live band in one room and the other room was more like an English pub, graffitti and all. Our Scottish waitress was so nice and we had a great time. We learned to stay away from the seafood at most resturaunts as they just couldn't get it right, but we had muscles here to start our meal and they very good. We had them in a white wine sauce... Which also had cream in it, not what we're used to.

We ate in two fancy, expensive resturaunts, which were pretty good but the ribs and steak at Swizzle Inn was our best.

When we lived in Bermuda this was our regular haunt. After a break of 8 years we came back wondering if the Swizzle would still have that quintessentially Bermudian vibe - and it did!!
The Swizzle is first and foremost a pub - based on the British model but distinctly Bermudian. But to go to the inn just to drink is to miss fantastic bar food and that wind down feeling that comes from sitting outside and watching the cars go by. We've never seen anyone uptight there - the location, the building, the staff and even the customers seem to conspire together to say "chill out you guys". Our favourite seats are on the upper terrace but on this visit it was closed so we ate downstairs outside. The cars that cruise by (Bermuda has a 29mph speed limit) would detract from the atmosphere in a town but here they become part of the vibe. The graffiti on the walls would be considered vandalism elsewhere - here it is encouraged. Serving an English breakfast til 6pm would be laughable in New York - at the Swizzle it's natural. The servers are all friendly and as relaxed as the customers. Food is excellent pub fare and no-one is pushing you to give up your table. We arrived late morning and took coffee. Then we ordered a half jug of the Rum Swizzle cocktail while we considered lunch. We asked if we could order starters and then think about mains later - no problem. The finger food makes an excellent choice of starter, especially if sharing. There is usually a fish skewer of some kind on the specials board but whatever you pick it's going to be generous in size and beautifully prepared. The Swizzle Inn is Bermuda in a nutshell. As they say: Swizzle Inn, Swagger out!

We read the reviews. We saw the ratings. Needless to say, it was a must do for us on our recent trip.

We were not disappointed. The Swizzle Inn has a great vibe and a unique interior.

The food was very good (grilled wahoo sandwich) and the rum swizzles were excellent.

Our server was great. Friendly, helpful, and efficient.

We'll be back here every time we're in Bermuda.

First night in and went to swizzle. Food was served quickly and hot. Had the Chili that was very good with 2 huge slices of corn bread. Wife had the Greek salad that was huge. Portions are big, service was very good. Had the swizzle rum - very good. Very casual dress.
