“True Italian Cuisine”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

From the moment you walk in and see the haunches of proscuitto hanging behind the huge glass display to the time you sip a Sambucca at the end of the meal, you are in Italy. Take my word for it, don't look at the menu, ask for the specials. Chef/owner Luigi is a magician in the kitchen and serves up dishes worthy of being in any fine dining establishment. I particularly like his use of fresh, local produce in creating wonderful vegetable side dishes and he cooks his pasta to perfection. I usually go for whatever fresh fish he has that day, the baby halibut is divine! Overall, it has become my favourite restaurant and i am really glad as it is only 10 minutes away from my office. ENJOY!

“Little gem in east Vaughan”
Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

We've been coming to this restaurant on and off for the last 3 years; when we first started it was amazing and my husband and I made it our regular monthly restaurant. About a year after, they had a fair amount of turn over, the staff had changed and service seemed rushed, food suffered and menu becamea bit stale, so we stopped going for a bit...
But twice in a row now, the food has been flavourful and the specials enticing and we are returning to our little north of hwy7 gem; staff is still a little all over the place (sometimes timely at checking on us, sometimes needed to be called to get something), but with the consistent food, we return and send our friends to try it!

“ordinary food, stressed staff”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

If this was opening week, I could forgive the horrendous service. But this place has been around for awhile and should know how to manage their way through a Saturday night. They are not equipped to handle a seating changeover smoothly. The waiter was so stressed from the first seating, he decided to rhyme off the specials while we were taking our coats off. Simple things like a clean wine list, or a drink menu would be helpful. The food was inconsistent The warm mushroom salad was good, the pasta looked like it had been sitting around for awhile and had no flavour. The presentation was lacklustre. The bread was stale. We were finished the appetizers before the wine hit the table. They dont have an actual dessert menu. The entire experience was disappointing and stressful.

“Amazing food - but could work on their service”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Great Italian food. Modern, elegant and Top Tier Quality. High priced, but well worth it! However, unless you are a celebrity or well connected with the owner, be prepared to wait for a table (even if you have a reservation.)
