We were coming back from Victoria, on our way to Vancouver, and in need of a place for the night. We really were not sure what to expect other than a floating B&B with two rooms and the owner living upstairs. It was great. Nicely furnished, and Jackie was a good hostess. We loved the little table by the picture window as a setting for our breakfast. A great value for the money! There is a hot tub on the deck. The views are outstanding. We had a little trouble finding it, but it was our fault. All we had to know was it was literally at (on) the mouth of the river.

Room Tip: Only 2 rooms and both are great.

This B&B is a float home - so this is a first for us. There are two nicely furnished, clean and spacious bedrooms rooms with private bath rooms and a gas fireplace in each, as well as in the common area. We stayed in the "Brunswick Room" which has a patio on the Fraser River. The bed is a little high off the floor, but it is very comfortable! We had great sleep. The only thing that we had to get used to is that there were a few minor creeks and squeaks that you can get in the night which are bound to happen when the building is floating on the river. And as others have said, the swans came right up to us along with their two babies!

The kitchen is something we have not seen in other B&B's! There is a medium size fridge with a small top door freezer, a small electric range, plus a full complement of pots pans and utensils! We stayed two nights, and the kitchen was such a blessing. We made our lunches and cooked dinner one night. Why not? They have a full size BBQ out on deck, along with a small sitting table complete with sun umbrella, and with the great weather we had the dining experience was better than any restaurant you were going to find! The fridge was stocked with milk, cream, orange juice (the GOOD stuff!), and a variety of sauces and jams. There was also a selection of spices too. We got some food for our other meals and there was lots of room for our stuff.

Hint: About 5 minutes further down the road is a place where you can buy freshly made sausages and smoked salmon! :)

While we did pop out into Ladner for a while, we soon came back to enjoy some major time in the hot tub! Temp was perfect - not too hot - so extended soaking was not a problem.

And there are very friendly cats too! Jasper was one cat who had no problem with water as he sat right on the rim of the hot tub, and did not mind being patted with wet hands!

And there was even a kayak, so we could have gone out on the river as well.

Jackie is a very pleasant and accommodating hostess. We both had some dietary restrictions, and she came through with flying colours. The only possible suggestion for improvement is that we are both avid tea drinkers, and the quantity and selection was not great. For me this was not a big problem because I switched to the amazing coffee that she had. But if you are fussy about your tea, best to bring along a few bags.

Check out the pics I uploaded. The area is a secluded, and peaceful. We loved it. All in all this was a great stay.

Wonderful float home B&B. There are two nicely furnished, clean and spacious bedrooms rooms with private bath and a gas fireplace. There is also a common sitting room and fully-stocked kitchen, with a fridge full of snacks and milk and juice. We had the Brunswick room with a patio on the Fraser River. After a day of walking, it was a delight to come back to the room and feel the warmth of the sun streaming through the windows of our room and even though it was October, when the sun shines, the late afternoon is the perfect time to sit and have a drink on the patio and watch the river go by. The sunsets from the patio and our room were stupendous. Jackie is a very pleasant and accommodating host. It was like saying goodbye to a friend when we left.

Room Tip: We liked the Brunswick room because it has a patio right on the Fraser River. The other room is bea...

We were taking the ferry to Vancouver Island and stayed here the night before and the night we returned. The second night it felt like we were coming home! The floating B and B offers a spectacular view in the morning over the water to the bird sanctuary. Swans swim up for a morning snack and eagles fly overhead. At the end of the road there is a stunning walk along the coastline, don't miss this even for a short morning walk, particularly when the snow geese are passing through in October/November. Colin and Jackie were great, very helpful and felt like old friends and were very unobtrusive. Breakfast was outstanding and served in our room. There is a shared living/kitchen area used by guests of the 2 rooms. Both rooms were occupied when we were there, but we didn't hear a thing, very quiet. The sheets and pillows were great, nice shower. Would definitely return and recommend for people who like home style comfort and nature.

What a fun place! With two rooms, the Canoe Pass Inn is a delightfully different and very comfortable place to stay. This place is on pontoons and rises and falls with the tides, though of course one doesn't feel that. Our room had a very comfortable king bed, a nicely appointed bathroom and, best of all, two outdoor "patios" where we could sit, enjoy the sun and watch the resident swans as they swam right up to us. Two very friendly cats also graced us with their presence as did the owner's dogs. Lots to enjoy. Jackie is a great hostess and we enjoyed the other guests as well. Highly recommend this quirky but fabulous place for those who are looking for something exotic and different. Will return one day, hopefully, for a longer stay.

We stayed here for 8 nights over the Christmas holidays, and were sad to leave. The Inn comprises two guest rooms in the downstairs of a floating home; the hosts Jackie and Colin Smith live upstairs. Both guest rooms have comfy and high beds, attractive gas fireplaces, and private ensuite bathrooms. The decor in the Westham Room is a little more posh/less homey, but we chose the Brunswick Room because this has windows on two sides instead of the Westham's one, including a sliding door and its own patio where you can feed the swans. The rooms share a common living area and kitchen with a fridge that is kept stocked with snacks for guests (at no additional charge).

The whole building is tethered to pilings and moves up and down with the tides, but being in a river estuary you don't get the rocking you might expect from an ocean-moored houseboat; people prone to sea-sickness need not worry as it feels every bit as stable as if you're on dry land.

The hosts were unobtrusive, which was nice for us as we enjoy our privacy. We met Colin on only one occasion; he was very cheerful and welcoming. Jackie was simply wonderful, appearing like magic with breakfast as soon as we stirred out of our room in the mornings, and very easy-going. Breakfasts (which we ate in our room at a charming little table by a window) were made to request and delicious, especially the sausages and free-range chicken eggs.

The location is truly idyllic; we loved the little tugboats tied up at the dock. Out the window we saw an endless procession of ducks, and bald eagles were as common as city pigeons. The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, less than 5 minutes' drive away from the inn, is a must for anyone with even a mild interest in wildlife. Overall, Canoe Pass Inn is a wonderful place to unwind.

My daughter and I stayed at this B&B for three nights in October. We loved being right on the water, and seeing all the birds and wildlife (a seal swam up while we were in the hot tub!). The room was very comfortable with a sofa, fireplace, and dining table. There is a shared kitchen area right outside the room, where we made drinks and snacks. Our host, Jackie, was very friendly and thoughtful. She even found a swim suit my daughter could wear, and showed us the new baby kittens.
The Fraser River delta area is beautiful, with lots to do and see. We especially enjoyed the Reifel Bird Sanctuary, just a mile or so from the B&B.

Room Tip: Both of the rooms are beautiful. Choose either.
