Went there with friends after visiting the monastery, as it is really near and the prices are very affordable. A very moody and impatient waiter was so rude I thought he was joking. The restaurant was not even half-full but he was so stressed and had such an attitude, we almost got up and left. Their prices are very good, and they have a wide enough selection of daily menu and 'platos combinados', but the deserts were awfully industrial cakes and terrible rice pudding. Avoid if you want to have pleasant memories of your visit to El Escorial.
