staff was pleasant, most spoke english ,the internet was free only in the lobby , there is a 12 euro charge for in room internet, no shuttle to or from airport on weekends,,no restaurant on weekends ,the booking website is deceptive and misleading,.all of this is in the small print on the bottom of the hotel webpage,, travelers should not need a detective license to sort through this ..,,for marriott, this is a disgrace,

Room Tip: do not use this on weekends for madrid airport

It's a nice enough hotel, although no free WIFI, but it is really inconvenient if you are in Madrid for visiting the city. Getting to the train station you have to walk through a pretty dodgy area. The shuttle driver was really great and helped us get to a shopping mall one evening.

The modern AC Hotel was a welcome place after a week in very narrow single bed in a resort in Costa del Sol.. The stopover before returning to the U.S. was refreshing. The hotel had a shuttle from the airport. It is more of a business person's hotel probably, but even though it was in a business/industrial center and wasn't in a beautiful setting, the hotel itself was quite nice. It had a restaurant/bar, fitness center, Turkish bath, relatively good Internet connection, and a spacious room with everything needed. The staff was accommodating. The only issue was a double charge on a restaurant bill. The manager quickly and willingly removed the charge. It appeared that the waitress was too busy and just made an honest mistake. It was a good place to stopover before returning from Spain.

The AC Hotel Coslada was a great experience. We used it to overnight prior to catching a morning international flight from Madrid. The hotel is minutes from the airport and provides a free shuttle. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful and the morning buffett was great. There was construction taking place near by, but we did not hear any noise. A great rest for sure.

Room Tip: The breakfast buffett was well worth the price.

We were flying out in the early afternoon so arrived late the previous night. We chose it purely because it was an AC Hotel (we like the Marriott brand in general) in close proximity to the airport - otherwise the immediate area is industrial, although there is a huge shopping mall 5-7 minutes drive away if you need to pass the time. Parking was complimentary, the room was a good size and clean. Having stayed in AC Hotels all week during our trip, surprised to see inconsistencies from our previous experiences; there were no robes, slippers or complimentary mini-bar which we understand should be an AC standard. Reception staff (a lady) friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was ok, were the only people there at 10.00am and the food looked like it had been sitting there for some time (cheese & cold-cut items looked a bit dry). No availability of hot items (i.e. eggs) but appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine. All in all the stay wasn't 'wow' but fitted our needs for that evening. We had our own car so can't comment regarding the other reviewers' issues with the airport shuttle.

The hotel it self is fine, but two things to be cautious of:

* Without your consent the hotel converts the room rate to USD at 4.4% above the interbank rate. (Recommend: Proactively insist at checkin that all charges are in Euro and let your credit card do any currency conversion).
* Although you may confirm availability of the airport shuttle prior to stay and the night before, you may find out the airport shuttle is not available the day of your departure.

If you are a Marriott loyalist, there are other AC's in the area, both in better locations and cheaper taxi fares. If you are not a Marriott loyalist then this hotel should not even be a consideration.

Room Tip: See tips in the review.

The hotel itself is very nice. However it is nowhere close to the airport. It takes 15 minute cab ride and will cost you €25 from the airport. There is a shuttle to the hotel but it does NOT run on the weekend. To get downtown Madrid it will cost you €35-€40 or you can walk 15 minutes to a bus that takes you to the metro and from there you can get in to the city center. The restaurant looks like it serves decent enough food but you can only get cold sandwiches and a cheese plate on the weekends. The hotel is in an industrial park with no restaurants within walking distance. Staying at this hotel feels like we're trapped on an island without any way to escape without spending a fortune. Do your research before booking this hotel.
