“special building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

A good posada in a quite special building. The 16th century building is a special place to stay and has beautifully been rebuilt. The owners are very friendly and know a lot about Extremadura. The patio is a nice place to sit and read a book or to take breakfast, if the wheater is nice of course.

A very nice good value stay in Trujillo

This is a very small hotel with bags of character in a 15th century building in the heart of the town. It is not easily accessible by car and there is no parking so you have to park in the new town and walk in with your bags over cobbled streets. However it is worth it once you get there.

Each room is individually decorated and the place has a restful ambiance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was that the Wifi was not working.

We had heard good things about the restaurant but this had been closed completely by the looks of things so we had dinner in the Plaza Major a few minutes walk away. However we were disappointed the next morning to find there was no breakfast either so went to the NH hotel nearby for a good but expensive breakfast. They could have least have provided some coffee in my opinion.

Despite this, If I returned to Trujillo I would not hesitate on staying here again.

This is a lovely little hotel, in one of the loveliest little towns in central Spain. It is in the old, upper, part of the town.

We stayed in April, when the nights were cool and the days warm, but were still grateful for the large, airy, room, with a reasonable bathroom.

Sadly the restaurant wasn't open (it only opens at weekends at this time of year), and breakfast was a simple Tostade (toast and jam or pate).

It was a really nice place to stay.

I loved the location of this small hotel in Trujillo. The building is historic and on a back street in the village of Trujillo. the rooms are comfortable, clean and well decorated. Wish I would have had a full tub, instead of just a shower. Our room was street side, so a bit noisy late into Saturday night and the wee hours of Sunday morning. The only problem was the overpowering incense that the staff burned in the common areas. The price of about 55 Euros a night was fabulous. The staff was friendly, but if you don't speak Spanish, you may have trouble here!

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the street unless you don't mind street sounds, mostly people walking by and...

Beautiful building, nicely situated in the heart of the old town. Comfortable rooms, stylish decor very helpful service, excellent price.
Do check if the restaurant is open before you book - we didn't, and it wasn't, which was a little disappointing. Also best to go in the warmer months when the beautiful plaza is lively and you can sit outside. When we went it was raining, the town was deserted and many restuarants and businesses were closed.
Nevertheless this would be a great break in the summer.

Room Tip: Check if your room has a window before you book -ours didn't, but the staff very kindly moved u...

What a find, in the quiet back streets of Trujillo. In amongst the wonderful historical buildings this little hotel sits within easy reach of numerous stunning finds. The room was clean and well furnished. Air conditioning perfect. We would go back in a minute. Excellent

Very nice hotel with a great staff. While it may lack some amenities, such as a lack of a phone in our room, it is a great hotel to get away to and relax. Trujillo is small and everything of interest is within 200 meters of the hotel. Do not miss the restaurant -- they use local products and the food is excellent. Price/value ratio is excellent, well worth a visit.
