“not bad, which is not good enough for a much acclaimed chef.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Second visit, menu almost identical. Happily, this time a 40 euro tasting menu was available which made the experience somehow lighter on the soul. Ever better, thanks to our well connected friends, we were treated to extras, but that is not to be expected as a rule. Uneven food, some dishes excellent, others indifferent. The wine situation, both in terms of service & variety, has improved significantly, albeit still a long way from becoming wine lover' s paradise. Service was infallible without being overly clinical. Glad I went again but it will be a long time I consider a third visit.

“Greek food on its best”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Botrini´s restaurant is a must. It reprsents the best that greek cooking has to offer. Respecting the traditional greek ingredients and incorporating a touch of modern flair and imaginaton, the chef is able to create a feast of flavors, aromas and presentations that please every human sense.

In a minimalistic dinning room for the winter from where you can admire the creativity that takes place in the kitchen and in a beautiful garden for the summer the guests are in for an exceptional dinning experience.

There is an extensive wine list to acompany the menu that can satisfy even the most demanding palates.

It is an axpensive restaurant but the BOE menu is reasonably priced and represents the entire philosophy of the restaurant and greek eating.

“A must visited”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

It was an amazing gastronomic experience!!! The food, the service, the atmosphere were all outstanding! We had the BOE menu. The offer includes a three course meal and a half bottle wine for 40 euros per person. They were all amazing, a great example of 'haute cuisine'. The words cannot describe this experience it worth trying yourself!

“"Excellence"”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

Fine dining and beautiful outdoor terrace!
Among the unforgettable dishes I remember:
- Mediterranean flavoured octopus carpaccio
- King prawns in kataifi crust, marinated prawn tartar in campari and strawberry vinegar
- Pork belly, a puree of granny smith apples, mango chutney and maracuja
- Slow-cooked barbecued lamb
- Chocolate with salty toffee ice cream
The prices are above average in Athens but the restaurant has an excellent price/quality ratio.
Really recommended!

“Really good”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Botrini's restaurant is not a stuck up place. On the contrary, it's rather friendly and relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive, although they could behave a bit more naturally - at times they seem to have been taken out of a comic movie.
The food is very well presented and it tastes as good as it looks. Prices are a bit steep but there are set menus that are value for money. Fact is, you will not be disappointed if you visit Botrini's.
