Enjoyed our relaxing three days here to unwind from NA hustle

NICE FRIENDLY STAFF Amazing view
would recommend this hotel you can walk to town 25 minutes - but take a taxi back its uphill

Desert here was expensive... !
and we didn't eat here

Room Tip: ask for a room on high floor at far end - view is better

I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel, before going on to get a cruise. The setting is undeniably beautiful and the rooms were lovely, pool superb and food good - food at the Italian restaurant in the Astir Palace section of the hotel -which is down the road a little way - was excellent. My really big gripe with this hotel was the ridiculous over pricing - nearly £7 for one of the smallest and worst cappuccinos i have ever tasted - by the pool bar - I felt obliged to give 1 euro tip - when signing it to the room. The In-room fridge was fully stocked - but....a packet of crisps - we had one each on the day of arriva - l cost us £14...and a small 250ml bottle of water was £5.50 - there were no tea or making facilities - offered in even the most humble B&B -apart from an espresso coffee maker and 2 tiny cups and 3 capsules - once you had used these you had to buy more - we ended heating the water in the espresso machine and using the glasses to have a cup of mint tea -and later Breakfast tea - once we had a jug of milk that had come with ordered room service - which we kept in the fridge. I fully appreciate that in- room bar facilities are going to be more expensive -but these prices were ridiculous and such a high premium on bottled water was not only a crime - but in a hot country it was also cruel. The hotel is built into the side of a rock and is very impressive - but the hallways were dark and gloomy - due to no natural light. The reception area was on the top floor and the bedrooms in 5 levels below - the pool and sea at basement level (6 down) meant that although it had plenty of seating - you only went up there to arrive or leave or go to the other Astir Palace part. The reception area there was far more welcoming and friendly - with a bar and a piano - in hindsight we wish we had stayed there. It probably did not help that our neighbours had a massive falling out over one of them having an affair - which they loudly shouted about to each other, with swearing and slapping - and then after a day of arguing made up and we then had to listen to their very noisy *make-up* sex!! Reading this back it is rather a negative review - on what is a hotel in a lovely setting - which if you are rich enough or eager enough to pay the prices -would no doubt be a lovely holiday. We are not mean people -and have stayed in many high quality hotels - but the pricing at this hotel is just so expensive -that it did affect our stay and subsequent opinion of this hotel and I would consequently probably not stay there again - even if I won the lottery! The staff were all polite and the porters very helpful -when our pre-booked transport did not turn up -but we did feel a little like we were clogging up the wheels of an otherwise very efficiently run reception.

Every observation is extremely valuable and helpful to us, in our continued objective to strive for excellence in all areas of the hotel.
We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed hotel’s location, the comfort of your room, the pool and the food quality.
On the other hand we were very disappointed to read that we have failed to meet your expectations during your recent stay in certain areas. Also, I was very disappointment to read about your experience with your loud neighbours.

My husband is SPG Platinum and we requested a suite upgrade. Upon arrival it was not available and I was not happy. However, the very kind receptionist found us a suite for the next day. It gave us room and allowed for our child to be in the living room without waking us in the am. This made the world of difference to a good vacation. The bathroom was huge and luxurious and the hairdryer worked very well. We were happy with the breakfast and loved the Greek salad at the pool each day. We ate at the Taverna one night and it was also very good. We found the staff to be courteous and professional and we had no issues with the service.
The gym is too small. There is barely room for two people to use weights at the same time. The gym needs more equipment and a nicer and larger space. It would be useful to have a small shop on site with some basics and actually more would be appreciated as shopping is far away. Most importantly, a better solution is needed for laundry. I was told there is no bundle service that picks up or self service laundry close by. We work out daily and it was 20 euros each day per person to have workout wear washed. We were on vacation for 3 weeks and we could easily have spent 1000 euros doing laundry there--not a practical solution. There were many families traveling for a long period of time staying at the property. A reasonable laundry solution would be much appreciated. We enjoyed our visit so much we hope to return for about 2 weeks next summer. Hope you can come up with a laundry solution by then.

Room Tip: I was told all the rooms are the same and they all face the sea.

the hotel is a good place to relax, they can guide you to very good restaurants.

Although, they do miss some points here and there but over all they are acceptable.

what i didn't like in this hotel 2 things:
1. the breakfast can be better, they might get an assistance from W hotels.
2. the GYM is exterimly small, i might say that the machines i got in my home are more than what this hotel got... in another words they got huge empty spaces they can develop a very descint GYM

The Resort was the perfect welcome to Greece. We spent our first few nights here after a long overnight trip, and transfer via Istanbul, with our two young children. We arrived early in the morning (about 4 hours before our rooms were ready). Without any fuss or hassle, a very late breakfast was quickly organised and a twin room made available for us in the interim; so that we could acclimatise, refresh and relax after our flight. The hotel is perfectly positioned on a beautiful peninsula with its own private and secluded beach. The views are equally amazing from everywhere: the rooms, the breakfast area, the bar area, the hotel's Taverna 37 (where the food and service is equally impressive), the pool etc. The Resort has everything for all types and ages and is an easy and scenic drive from Athens. It has all the various usual amenities for a hotel of this standard. The rooms are large and very comfortable. One of the rooms we stayed in on the third floor had its bathroom and bath overlooking the peninsula. We found the staff generally very friendly and efficient and especially Elisávet in the breakfast room. She was a perfect host, friendly, accommodating and very helpful; especially in meeting our youngest daughters ever changing strange breakfast requests. We loved our time here and highly recommend the Resort.

Room Tip: The higher-up the better. Rooms with views over the Resort's beach onwards towards Athens are...

I recently stayed at the Westin with my husband and daughter and it proved to be a fantastic location for balmy Athens at this time of year.
The location is great. Great pool and lovely small beach with secure sea inlet which is ideal for children.
Rooms are large, clean and bright and all have sea facing balconies. I would recommend asking for a room which has sun on the balcony during the day at time of booking. Ours did not and this was disappointing as we spent a lot of time in the room as we were travelling with our baby. The bed was not comfortable but this may not be universal to all rooms.

Food was generally to a high standard. The room service menu has a great choice and was delivered within 30 mins from ordering. Breakfast buffet was great and the location (ground floor sea view) was a perfect location to start the day. I was unfortunately disappointed with the Blue Hytra restaurant, the hotels Michelin Star 'Gem'. Starters were fantastic but main course was disappointing. We dined here twice and on both occasions the dish we requested was not available on that day. The menu was also limited leaving us ordering undesired choices. There were no alternatives or specials offered, which was a shame.
The food at the pool bar was very good, with large portion sizes, the salad could certainly be shared by two. The staff here, however, were uninterested and bordering on lazy at times. You have to go to the bar to get your pool towels even though they have a pool attendant who I assume should be doing this for you! Also, it appears to be acceptable to pace a towel on your bed in the morning and only return to use it in the afternoon. I was even asked by the pool attendant to change loungers on one occasion as there was a newspaper on the ground (no towel) meaning somebody else was using it. Prime sun loungers by the pool often get snapped up early and not utilised which is very frustrating when you are holidaying with small children. I would not expect to participate in these silly games in a 'luxury' hotel.

Otherwise staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful.
The bar is great, amazing cocktails and wonderful view.

This hotel may have its little flaws but I would certainly return if visiting Athens again in summer. I couldn't imagine you would fine a more perfect location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which has sun on the balcony during the day. Otherwise all room are the same size.

Thank you for your stay and your kind comments about The Westin Athens hotel!

On the other hand I was disappointment to read about your experience at the Blue Hytra restaurant.

Excellent location, small peninsula off Vouliagmeni, a seemingly upscale weekend and summer resort for Athenians. Very large rooms, all sea-view with a nice terrace. There is a very large sea water pool, a small private beach, and you can also dive right into the pristine sea from the sundecks! There is also a free daily shuttle to Athens which drops you right off the Parthenon.
There are a lot of children due to the hotel having a kid's club, but thankfully the hotel wasn't full so it didn't bother us. Excellent breakfast however the restaurant was a bit overpriced... However there are tons of (trendy) restaurants down the hill, if you like walking it's reasonably close, but for most people it's probably a taxi ride away.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay, absolutely recommended!
