You would pick this hotel if you wanted a seaside experience without being in the heart of Athens center. Easy cab ride from airport. 30 minutes and 30 euros. Good 4 star equivalent. Very comfortable. You can share the shuttle from the hotel next door to get to city.No more than 2 days here

Room Tip: Limited sea views. Location is close to marina for island cruises for small and large groups

Excelent hotel in an excelent location near the beach ideally for great evening walks. We spent five days in Amarilia hotel as the organisers of a business event. Everything was as agreed with the manager of the hotel! The rooms were very clean with a great view to the beach as well. The food was really good and arguably tasty! The coffee breaks were also really rich.
We will definately have our next meeting in Amarilia Hotel.

Lovely hotel to stay in. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and tidy. My husband and I stayed for three nights to visit family in September 2013 and was very good value for money. We had a standard double room which had a sea view, even though it was over a car park, it did not matter at all to us as we were on third floor, fantastic view of the sunset and windsurfers. The area of Vouliagmeni the hotel is in is along the beach, there are a couple of tavernas, but not much in the way of anything else. If you are looking for a bit more, i.e. tavernas, restaurants, souvlaki bars and cafe bars, a trip to Glyfada is recommended! The beach was lovely, full of families at the weekend and there is a periptero near by to purchase water and other snacks.

Overall the hotel is very good! I would suggest a trip into Glyfada for more in the way of tavernas and things to do and access into Athens etc.

Room Tip: Request a room on third floor or higher towards to sea for a fabulous view!

Our stay was very nice. Rooms were typical European style, very clean, and no cigarette smell (big plus). One negative, you could hear other guests through bathroom vents on occasion and occasional late night activity.

Free internet, breakfast included. Location is very close to the beach.

Meeting services were good, and staff was very accommodating to last minutes requests. Everyone was very friendly - thank you - Andreas, Dora and all the staff.

Amarilia is a good place for small conferences. I enjoyed a very friendly service and great breakfast and lunch buffets as well a clean and comfortable room. Not a place to spend a longer vacation but an attractive combination of good hotel facilities close to a beach and the great city of Athens.

I wanted to be near or on a beach but also near Athens. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at the Amarilia. On my last day, visiting the next tiny resort, I was knocked down by a motor bike. I was lucky in as much as a doctor & doctor wife found me in the middle of the road and called an asmbulence and then the hotel (I was able to give the name) and after that I could not have had greater kindness from the owners and staff. They even sent 2 staff members to the hospital. M recovery is progressing slowly but I am even thinking of going back there one fine day but next time with my husband!

Room Tip: Next time, I would ask for a sea view room.
