Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. What we liked the most was the outstanding customer service this place has. The manager was helpful and informative about the region. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The hotel was really convenient to find; the bus stop from the airport was in front of the hotel. Also, the tram taking us into the city of Athens was on the other side of the street. So you can get downtown for 1Euro per person. Would definately recomment to anyone wanting great value for money.

I ran a school trip to Athens and was stranded in the city when all the flights were cancelled because of the ash cloud over Europe. The owner of the hotel, was able to arrange for the whole of our group (29 in total) to stay for as long as was necessary. Throughout the whole time he helped us entertain the children and assisted with any problems that we faced. It turned a very difficult if not impossible situation into good experience for all.

ok, i know the single room it's only 40 euros but i'd prefer to give more and stay in a real hotel room. where do i start...? smelly room, broken toilet, noisy road, everything was just wrong. i understand if a group of 18 years old boys decide to book it, ohterwise don't waste your money here.

Recently, I took my two 20 something daughters with me on a trip to Greece that was planned by Central Holidays - We started our trip in Athens staying at the magnificent Athens Plaza. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are comfortably air conditioned, large in size and decorated beautifully. Our breakfast buffet was plentiful, appetizing and delicious. The variety of foods offered was incredible. The staff was amazingly friendly and tried very hard to accommodate our needs. The hotel is kept very clean, it is located in a convenient part of Athens and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

I stayed at the Plaza Hotel in Voula from July 10th-13th with my friend and our three 18yr old daughters. (2 hers, 1 mine)
I was sharing with the other mum and we had booked a twin room which turned out to be a double bed and a small put-up bed. We asked for the twin we had booked but apparently another guest had overstayed their booking and the hotel didn't feel they could throw them out. So we made do.
The room was clean. The air-conditioning worked. We had a little balcony. The shower was powerful and the toilet flushed. All good. The hotel is on a busy road which disturbed me a bit the first night, but I soon got used to it.
The triple room we had booked for the girls turned out to be a twin room with an extra put-up bed wheeled in. However the girls were fine. One of them found the road too noisy and their toilet made odd noises when the cistern refilled but they were generally happy. They also had a balcony.
Breakfast was included in the, very reasonable, price. It consisted of cold orange drink (not real juice, sadly), various breads, ham, cheese, hard-boiled eggs and cake, with tea or coffee. One day we had watermelon too which was nice.
Some of the staff were Polish. The owner was half English, half Greek. His wife was Russian or Ukranian. All were very friendly and helpful.
During our stay we caught buses from right outside the hotel into Athens, to Varkisa, Sounio and to Pireas. It was very easy and cheap. We saw all the sites and visited all the museums. (Except the Pireas Museum which is closed for refurbishment, we discovered.) Tickets can be purchased from the kiosk outside.
We swam in the sea which is right across the road from the hotel. The public (free) beach is just left of the hotel. We also found a great taverna on the same side of the road as the hotel, serving alll sorts of Greek food and beer for hardly any money.
All in all, 4 days of great fun.
I'd recommend the hotel and the buses and the taverna to anyone who wants to visit Athens on a budget.
