This place if it had more visitors it would be a fantastic Rescue Centre due to limited funds it is not. They are seriously though trying and it is very impressive that they have managed to support this centre

Seeing injured turtles being taken care of and on a route to recovery and planned release back into the wild was such a joy. The staff are really friendly, one lady took us around and explained all about the turtles and the recovery centre. The turtles are fascinating animals, very prehistoric looking. We weren’t even charged but left a contribution. Definitely worth a quick visit, it doesn’t take too long.

I have rated this 'attraction' average because it is not really an attraction, it is more about the work which they do, rescuing injured turtles and for the work they are amazing. It's the crazy balance between needing to be an attraction to raise money and makes you wish you could do more to help.

We booked privately for my teenage girls to tour and help but things got lost in translation!! They weren't ready for us, we had to wait and we felt like we were interrupting. Having said that, they showed all of us the turtles in residence and explained the work they did. Then we left our girls there for one hour and they let our girls prepare the food and feed them.

There is no 'attraction' fee but they rely on donations as they are not funded.

Don't expect tourist things such as a cafe or a vending machine - there aren't any so remember to bring water.

It's very easy to find, just on the beach by the marina.

This is a working hospital for Sea Turtles run by passionate and very helpful volunteers. It is not a tourist attraction in the conventional sense but it was fascinating to learn about the sea turtles and the amazing and important work that is done here. There is no charge and no pressure to donate but you would be pretty cold hearted if you didn’t after seeing the injuries some of these great creatures have suffered from propellers and other less innocent causes. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Open only at the weekend for visitors, the volunteer run project has to be seen to be fully understood.
Taking the time to care and restore these animals to the wild requires a lot of support of expertise.
There is no expectation for a donation, however they deserve thanks for taking the time to show people around as well as to support the work they are doing.

We were greeted by a lovely young girl whom spoke purfect English. This is a hospital for wounded or sick turtles. Thank goodness there are people like this around to care & look. After these sick creatures, thank you for a lovely guided tour.

This centre is located near the beach and outdoor pool in Glyfada. It's easily accessible via team from the centre of Glyfada or Athens. The centre looks after rescued sea turtles which have been injured by boats or fishing materials. Many are released back to the sea. All the staff are very passionate and knowledgeable with volunteers from many European countries. The centre also organises camps where rescued are turtles treated and released. Admission is free with donations welcome. Definitely an hour or so well spent.

Beautiful sea turtles and friendly staff. The work that the staff does for the sea turtles is admirable. After visiting this place I have more faith in humanity. Much love from Finland.
