We have stayed at the London Hotel several times as a stopover travelling on next day. We have always found it to be clean and the food good and well priced. The staff are always great and very helpful. Yes, we have had a bit of noise but never a real problem. We like it and will sty there again!

This hotel was recommended to us by someone who apparently knew all the good spots in Athens. We were only staying for one night thank God before going on a sailing trip. The pictures make the place look pleasant. The reality was quite the opposite.

Positive points-
Food was good
Breakfast reasonable
Views from the roof terrace were beautiful
Bed linen clean
Safety deposit box

Bad Points-
Paper thin walls (we had a football team stay on the same night which meant it was impossible to sleep.)
Horrible bathroom
Stain on one of the towels
Generally poor standard which falls short of what you see from their pictures on the website.
Location is also poor.

Tips: Taxi drivers will rip you off in Athens if you don't agree a price before your journey. Ask how much your journey will cost before you get in the car. One charged us double what we were supposed to pay at the beginning of our trip. Another claimed we gave him a five euro note instead of a 20 when we handed him 25 Euro. After I argued it with him he said he'd made a mistake and miraculously found it but then demanded a tip. So be careful and again agree the payment before you travel.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

We were assigned to this hotel by our tour company so we were given no choice about staying here. The hotel is located on a busy road, but our room faced away from the road so the noise did not bother us. The bathroom was fine, the room spartan, and the common area acceptable. The big drawback was the food - dinners were not very appetizing and breakfast was barely passable. If given the choice, I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room on a higher floor - not as much street noise.

A very mixed bag! The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful & friendly. The breakfast was very varied but sadly limited for anyone like me on a gluten free diet. We booked a double room and ended up with 2 double beds and very little else - a decent size room but extremely cramped. We paid considerably more for a sea-view room, the view was stunning, but the facilities were very tired and absolutely nothing like those shown on the website. It was at best 2 star. Our room was marginally quieter than the front rooms which overlooked a 6 lane highway which was reminiscent of the M25 in rush hour but 24 hour. However, we were kept awake every night by 2 resident dogs in the adjacent field and the 'soundproof' windows were anything but! We stayed a week and only had one linen change despite the unusually high temperatures and that linen was of a very poor quality and un-ironed.

It was very convenient for the tram but there was only one restaurant open within walking distance which was very expensive and very unfriendly. We live on Cyprus where Greek hospitality is abundant but this was not the case in Glyfada aside from the hotel staff.

Overall, very disappointing but ok if you are looking for a very basic room for 1 or 2 nights.

The hotel was perfect for a place to sleep and rest after exploring Athens. The hotel is about a 5 min walk from a public beach. My room faced a Main Street and the street noise was loud but we shut the door and turned the air on and couldn't hear it. The food at the restaurant was just alright, breakfast was better than dinner. It is a perfectly adequate place to stay while exploring Athens.

not normal double bed (small), a lot of noise from other residents, not really clean, but the weirdest was the receptionist, who not only was not assisting us, but was rather focused on his... porn. oh well..
