“Okay, but I wouldn't choose to stay again”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

We were assigned to this hotel by our tour company so we were given no choice about staying here. The hotel is located on a busy road, but our room faced away from the road so the noise did not bother us. The bathroom was fine, the room spartan, and the common area acceptable. The big drawback was the food - dinners were not very appetizing and breakfast was barely passable. If given the choice, I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room on a higher floor - not as much street noise.

A very mixed bag! The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful & friendly. The breakfast was very varied but sadly limited for anyone like me on a gluten free diet. We booked a double room and ended up with 2 double beds and very little else - a decent size room but extremely cramped. We paid considerably more for a sea-view room, the view was stunning, but the facilities were very tired and absolutely nothing like those shown on the website. It was at best 2 star. Our room was marginally quieter than the front rooms which overlooked a 6 lane highway which was reminiscent of the M25 in rush hour but 24 hour. However, we were kept awake every night by 2 resident dogs in the adjacent field and the 'soundproof' windows were anything but! We stayed a week and only had one linen change despite the unusually high temperatures and that linen was of a very poor quality and un-ironed.

It was very convenient for the tram but there was only one restaurant open within walking distance which was very expensive and very unfriendly. We live on Cyprus where Greek hospitality is abundant but this was not the case in Glyfada aside from the hotel staff.

Overall, very disappointing but ok if you are looking for a very basic room for 1 or 2 nights.

The hotel was perfect for a place to sleep and rest after exploring Athens. The hotel is about a 5 min walk from a public beach. My room faced a Main Street and the street noise was loud but we shut the door and turned the air on and couldn't hear it. The food at the restaurant was just alright, breakfast was better than dinner. It is a perfectly adequate place to stay while exploring Athens.

not normal double bed (small), a lot of noise from other residents, not really clean, but the weirdest was the receptionist, who not only was not assisting us, but was rather focused on his... porn. oh well..

This hotel is located at Glyfada, a suburban area where not much happens (unless you are into american-style restaurants and coffeeshops). I booked this hotel for its attractive price and its photos - which did not nearly represented its actual condition.

The room I stayed was on the 3rd floor overlooking the highway and the gas station. It is practically impossible to open the windows because of the highway noise. The condition of the room was also not so great. Old furniture, stained carpets etc. The beds were just ok but the linens looked clean. The breakfast was not so bad and the staff was generally very helpful.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who mainly wants to explore Athens, as the tram line (no.5) takes about 1 hour to get to Syntagma square. It's exhausting. Taxi fare from center of Athens -depending on traffic - will take anywhere around 16 to 25 Euros.

If you want to stay somewhere close to the shore in Athens, hotels around Pireus might be a better bet.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a sea view room to avoid highway noise. Bear in mind that this hotel is far from At...

It was a good decision for us to stay outside of Athens while visiting Greece. London Hotel is just 50 meters away from the tram station and the bus station so it is very accessible. Taxi fare from Acropolis area to Hotel London will cost around 15 Euros. The beautiful Glyfada Beach is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We had a sea view room with balcony and it was calming staying there and just admiring the view. So if you decide to stay here, request for a sea view room at the top floor. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Do not expect a five star star hotel room though as this is just a small and very basic hotel.
